Question About 1000watt HPS Systems.

SO I just recieved my 1000 watt HPS/MH system from HTG. Hooked everything up and it ran for about 10 minutes then shut off. I checked the breaker and it was good, also the 6" inline was still running along with my circulation fans.

I fired it back up a couple minutes later and it ran for about 2 hours then shut off. I pulled the bulb out and it had broken crap rattling around inside it. Think it was just a bad bulb or are there other issues that could cause this? The ballast seemed to run fine (shrug)

I'm new to these big light systems. My 400 watt runs like a champ.

Sounds to me like a bad bulb, maybe try replacing it if it happens again id go ahead and call HTG and ask for an exchange and for 2 new bulbs
