I agree. There's no point having the most efficient light on the planet if other inefficiencies pull it down. It's a chain and each link plays its' part imo.I see efficiency measured on the GPW dryed model. We know you gain POWER efficiency thru less heat produced, less heat to move out of the area, less AC. just as stripping and defol make the grow more efficient due to less humidity.
So like StonerCol said, different efficiencies.
I think what matter at the end of the day is, produced fruits of weight/against Power used to finish.
It's obvs better to have a good efficient COB/Board and increase the other efficiencies which will all help for a better end result.
I'm growing in soil and plan to make my own compost with the usual garden/kitchen waste and added beneficial bacteria. That'll decrease the need for nutes thus increasing overall efficiency of the grow.
