Quandary -one rez- two diff plants

As the title states, I've got two different plants growing in one reservoir. One plant is a Northern Lights fem and the other was one of the free seeds I got with the Northern Lights order. The problem is that one is currently finishing flowering and the other(Northern Lights) is just beginning to flower. Live and learn. So, my questions to you all are as follows:

1) What will I do for final flush on the little plant that has done so well while the NL is just starting to bud ? I'm worried about the final product of the little plant being full of nutes and tasting badly. On the other hand, the buds on the NL are gonna need all the nutes they can get. I know I've read on this forum that I could just go with straight water for the entire grow and expect a much smaller yield; so I'm thinking of just running straight water for the next week or two while the little plant finishes herself off, then switch back to nutes for whatever will be left of the NL's bud cycle. I'll try to attach pics of the two plants side-by-side so you can get an accurate understanding of my problem.

2) How do I change nutes given the mess I've created with the long plant stems on the NL? Moving the plant, at this point, will mean serious injury and lifting the reservoir lid will move the plant? Should I get one of those battery operated pumps and pump out water through one of the unused holes in the top of the lid or what? The suspended scrog net is just there to hold up the plant as well as it will allow, I didn't plan on scrog with my first ever grow. The net is more-or-less using the top growth weaved in-between the netting to lift up the plant and take pressure off the stems.

3) Can anyone tell me what sort of plant the little girl is? She's just about perfect for my grow space, and I'd like to look into more fem seeds like that in the future. I simply have no clue as to what pheno it may be. I'd like to grow four or five of those at once in my small space, I think they'd work quite nicely. I chose the NL for a first grow mostly based on the reading I've done on this forum and others. I honestly meant to keep both plants very short initially, but that simply did not happen. She's only 19 inches at her tallest point and about 15 inches wide.

4) I'll try to post my pics of the little unknown plant and maybe someone can dial in the harvest time a little better than a noob like me. I think they still need at least a week, possibly two or a bit more. I have a jewlers loop, but honestly can't see very well through the little lens. It appears to me that even though most of the hairs are red, the triches only seem to be starting to cloud and none of them are amber yet. So, from what I've read, it's way too early to harvest. Do I dare clip off a small section of one of the frosty leaves for a better look at the triches, or will that do irreparable damage?

Pics 2177-2185 are of the unknown plant close to harvest.
Pics 2186 & 2187 are of the struggling NL plant that stretched to high heaven.

I know i've asked a lot in this post, perhaps too much. I'll figure it out as i post more. Thanks for any constructive input from the community.

I set mine in a tub in the closet and just keep adding a little water for 5 days it drinks it up good and flushes any chemicals if youre using chems and let's it finish in the dark and opens up room on my tray for another plant (s)

sorry but this is a mess man. Atleast you can get some bud from that one plant. What size light do you have?

Also don't worry about flush, it's bullcrap that's unneeded in hydro unless you overfed. Although that stretchy plant is clearly overfed due to the situation. The stretchy plant looks like a mess.

The light is so far away from that lower plant you're just starving it of the light it should be taking advantage of. You should have trashed the stretchy thing right away, well shouldn't have started it mid another grow in the same res anyway.

If I was you I would get rid of that stretched plant and just focus on the plant with bud. And yeah you can cut off one of the leaves to examine with no worries, it looks like you've done plenty of trimming with no worries already anyway.

With that sized tent and hydro you should just grow one big ass plant.

Ty both for looking at my 'mess'. Covert222 - i should have mentioned in my OP that both the plant roots have grown together in the rez. So, they're both staying put or the NL will have to come out. At least if i take out the NL i can still save the smaller unknown plant. But it will pain me to cut the NL down if i do.

Anon Emaus - ty for replying. My light situation is kind of what you might expect from a first time underfunded grow. I got a sweet deal on a Mars Hydro 300, about which I've heard many mixed reviews. However, I've been very satisfied with its output and the way the plants reacted to the LED. I'm guessing wattage-wise i under fed my plants but that just means less end product, and i can live with that. This being my first grow i just really wanted to make something grow to fruition, and for the most part; I've done that..... almost.... >.< I also used a six bulb configuration hanging from the ceiling. The cfls put out about 12k lumens. I do realize that my lumens are not enough for the project but i was pretty well out of cash and just wanted to see what would come of it. Those are my only two light sources. It's a 2x4x6 tent and the temps where plenty high, so I can't wait to try and keep things cool with an HPS in there. Oh and about the light being too far from the little plant; i should post another pick. You can see what i did as a stop-gap. I REALLY don't know what the hell I'm doing. I'm mostly just reacting to what the plants are doing instead of molding them like a true gardener would. Yes, I'm a noob.

I will take a small leaf tonight and have a triche check. I was hoping the smaller plant would be close enough to harvest that I could pull it and focus on saving the NL, but the NL is pretty rough looking. Not sure if she's gonna survive all the mistakes i made. I never intended for that plant to be so tall. Hopefully it will never happen again. The circumstances were such that it couldn't be helped, but I'll do much better with my next grow.

I uploaded a pick of the Mars Hydro over my little plant (the cfls are over the NL). I snaked it through the netting above and it works alright for now, but I don't ever want to be in this position again. In the future i was hoping to maybe get something like four of the small plants with a much better light situation or one scrog'd out Northern Lights in a 10-15 gal bubbler.

Ohhkay thats a better view. Sometimes I drink and riu, my bad lol
I was wondering how that unknown plant wasn't stretchy so that makes sense. And yeah with the roots bunched together thats gunna be tough harvesting the unknown plant because you'll have to leave its dead roots in the res tangled with the NL, which could cause root rot.

If you want to try n save the NL, which may not be the best way to spend your grow time in that you could start fresh with a new bunch of plants instead, then just lower the nutes down and finish off the unknown plant.

Weed is pretty resiliant so the NL should survive, just will prolly cause slow growth and not optimal bud production for it.

Good work on the unknown plant tho, that things looking nice!
