Make sure you plant soon after frosts end (you'll get around 3month veg) Lots of sunlight, avoid getting infestations of bugs / mould, add nutrients, don't starve them, put in large pots, the ground or fill rubbish bins with soil

And if you want big yield outdoors use

female seeds big bud x white widow
or
dinafem seeds moby dick

plant in ground if soil seems reasonable- water appropriately- try to use a strain that has a shorter flowering time. for instance some strains finish anywhere from late august, to September and October. I recommend finding one that claims to finish around September to avoid any weather issues.

This is good advice, though quality is important, security is number one in this type of growing. no trails, no identifying markers, hop from log to log or from rock to rock. The idea is when someone walks down a forest trail, he/she has no idea there is a side trail that leads to a field that has one- a few plants therein...the idea is to not leave a side trail of any kind!

Like the previous poster said, get a strain that matures early, indicas are always a good bet.

mold is a huge problem for late maturing strains outdoors, especially in temperate regions
