The supreme court will hear a case that could kill the ACA on Nov 10, that's why the GOP are pushing so hard to confirm the cult member, so they can take away health care, she will also defend his theft of the election.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — California’s Republican Party on Monday acknowledged owning unofficial ballot drop boxes that state election officials said are illegal.

California election officials received reports over the weekend about the boxes in Fresno, Los Angeles and Orange counties.

On Sunday, the secretary of state issued a memo telling county registrars the boxes were illegal and that ballots must be mailed or brought to official voting locations.

“In short, providing unauthorized, non-official vote-by-mail ballot drop boxes is prohibited by state law,” the memo said.

State GOP spokesman Hector Barajas said that the party owns the boxes. He declined comment on how many exist and where they are located. Barajas said the state’s law governing so-called ballot harvesting allows an organization to collect and return groups of ballots.

“Democrats only seem to object to ballot harvesting when someone else does it,” Barajas said.

MORE ON ELECTION 2020:
The controversy surfaced after a regional field director for the state’s GOP in Orange County posed in a social media photo with one of the unofficial boxes and wearing a face covering supporting the congressional campaign of Michelle Steel, a county supervisor who is challenging Democratic Rep. Harley Rouda for his seat.

There were also reports about similar boxes at a church in the Los Angeles County community of Castaic and at various locations in Fresno County.

In Orange County, the district attorney is investigating at least two unofficial boxes in two different cities, said Kimberly Edds, a spokeswoman for the district attorney’s office.

Neal Kelley, the county’s registrar of voters, said official drop boxes are clearly recognizable and carry official county elections logo. He said it wasn’t clear how many voters had used unofficial boxes but after receiving reports about them, he notified the state and district attorney’s office.

Fresno County Republicans said they will remove the boxes that had been placed at party headquarters, a gas station and gun shops, the Sacramento Bee reported.

Ballots will be turned in to county election officials, which was always the plan, said Fred Vanderhoof, chair of the Fresno Republican Party.

California Democratic Party Chair Rusty Hicks criticized the placement of the unofficial ballot drop boxes.

“Sadly, this is par for the course from the Republican Party — well-versed in making it harder, not easier for Californians to vote,” he said in a statement.

Holly shit have they no shame! Nobody would trust a republican in the thrall of Trump with their ballot in a sleazy box! I can see indictments in someone's future.

Republicans have no regard for democracy, the Constitution or rule of law. In CA (Oregon too), Republicans have even come out and said that they can see no path toward holding a majority in an election for the foreseeable future. So, they do shit like this, rather than undergo deep self examination and correct their own errors. Also, the Witmer kidnapping conspiracy. She has strong support by the electorate of Michigan. So, what do they try to do? "cap the bitch" is what one of the conspirators said.

oops, rant. I'll stop now.

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) — YouTube is following the lead of Twitter and Facebook, saying that it is taking more steps to limit QAnon and other baseless conspiracy theories that can lead to real-world violence.

The Google-owned video platform said Thursday it will now prohibit material targeting a person or group with conspiracy theories that have been used to justify violence.

One example would be videos that threaten or harass someone by suggesting they are complicit in a conspiracy such as QAnon, which paints President Donald Trump as a secret warrior against a supposed child-trafficking ring run by celebrities and “deep state” government officials.

Pizzagate is another internet conspiracy theory — essentially a predecessor to QAnon — that would fall in the banned category. Its promoters claimed children were being harmed at a pizza restaurant in Washington. D.C. A man who believed in the conspiracy entered the restaurant in December 2016 and fired an assault rifle. He was sentenced to prison in 2017.

MORE TECH STORIES:
YouTube is the third of the major social platforms to announce policies intended rein in QAnon, a conspiracy theory they all helped spread.

Twitter announced in July a crackdown on QAnon, though it did not ban its supporters from its platform. It did ban thousands of accounts associated with QAnon content and blocked URLs associated with it from being shared. Twitter also said that it would stop highlighting and recommending tweets associated with QAnon.

Facebook, meanwhile, announced last week that it was banning groups that openly support QAnon. It said it would remove pages, groups and Instagram accounts for representing QAnon — even if they don’t promote violence.

The social network said it will consider a variety of factors in deciding whether a group meets its criteria for a ban. Those include the group’s name, its biography or “about” section, and discussions within the page or group on Facebook, or account on Instagram, which is owned by Facebook.

Facebook’s move came two months after it announced softer crackdown, saying said it would stop promoting the group and its adherents. But that effort faltered due to spotty enforcement.

YouTube said it had already removed tens of thousands of QAnon-videos and eliminated hundreds of channels under its existing policies — especially those that explicitly threaten violence or deny the existence of major violent events.

“All of this work has been pivotal in curbing the reach of harmful conspiracies, but there’s even more we can do to address certain conspiracy theories that are used to justify real-world violence, like QAnon,” the company said in Thursday’s blog post.

There is the war on truth and then there is the war on bullshit, it's just getting started. The truth is a human right too.

Maybe this has already been discussed.
I heard a theory on the radio the other day saying that the person/persons behind qanon, is just playing star trek. Playing Q.

"Q" is the Federation designation for an impudent, self-superior and sometimes malevolent being from the otherwise mysterious Q Continuum. Beginning in 2364, the alien literally began to pop up in Federation space to tease, torment, and try Starfleet officers — especially Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the U.S.S. Enterprise. From the reports and eyewitness accounts it is not certain that the remainder of his kind share his outlook. It should always be stressed that Q's apparent juvenile humor should never be mistaken for the amoral, unconscionable acts of which he is capable.

Just found it interesting/funny.

QAnon's motto is "We are the Storm"
What the fuck is up with that?
And it's being embraced now by Trump & his supporters as a reliable source/proof that the "Deep State" is real & out to destroy Trump, led by pedophile Dems who secretly worship Satan.
No shit, that's what they espouse/believe.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/republican-embrace-qanon-goes-far-120500916.html

What can one say when one of the two major political parties in the USA is accepting this bat shit crazy stuff being vomited out & regurgitated by the POTUS, Trump, and giving their insane ideas merit.

I know what to say & that is vote like your life depends on it in November (it does) & never allow another Republican in office forever,.
Now is the time too wipe the GOP off the political map & regain some semblance of sanity.
Let's make a positive out of COVID-19, if any such thing is possible, & decimate the GOP in November.
Make the death & destruction perpetrated on this country by Trump & his enablers in the GOP worth something.
And they eat children. Bet they use Honey Mustard.
