Q about 430WATT EYE HORTILUX IN A 400BALLAST!

:spew:I HAVE A 400 BALLAST AND BULb, CURRENTLY THE BULB IS GETTING OLD. sorry bout caps, my g/f just got me a 430 eye hortulux, because i thought i had read that they will work in a 400 watt ballast. was i wrong?

yes it works but only 400 watts goes into the bulb you dont get 430,this question is in the forums about 10 times,thats why not many replies.hope this helps.

i am sorry, and yes it does help, so your saying my ballsast willonly put out the 400 watts promised, and i overpaid, by , buying a 430 watter?! was the eye horilux the best 400 watter i could by?, knowing i use floros for most veg, and then flip to a 400 hps for end of veg, and flowering?,, thank your for your response

from what i read from the manufacturer you still get some of the ble spectrum in the 400 watts your pushing i just cant remember how much,but if you google it,you will find it,just google 430 hortilux in a 400 watt ballast,i use a 430 in a 400 no problems it works for vegging nice,it looks like i get blue.

They have the same bulb in 430 and 400 I think.

My set up was back wards of yours. I have a 430 watt ballast. In veg I wanted a mh conversion bulb but they seem to only come in 400 watt. You can use bulb mix in any combo with 400/430. But the ballast is the limiter. Kinda think like x goes in and x come out. You can only get out what you put in.

that makes Cents....so i wasted $? i dont care it was a bday prsent. maybe i lost 10 dollars. jut wanna makw sure i is compatible.kiss-asskiss-ass

It will work if you want to know their speck just look at the 400 watt bulb it will be close to your 430 in a 400 ballast.


If my lessons were only $10 MrsRocket would be happer with my set up.
