probably dont need the 3rd, but is a precautionary step. The first bomb kills off the adults. The second it to kill off the eggs that get dropped when the first bomb goes off and to make sure there are no adult survivors from the first bombing. Its to kill off the life cycle of the bug so a reinfestation doesnt happen and the bugs now have a tolerance against the pyrethrum used. Thanks for the reply. I have used one and also sprayed spinosad. I haven't found anything alive since then but I will use a second fogger. Do you really think I need a third fogger? My room is pretty small and the fogger is up to 3000 sq feet
At 20 days into flower, you still have quite a bit of time and growth to take place so chances are if you did prematurely turn hairs orange, you wouldnt even notice by the time harvest day arrives. Likely a small tradeoff depending on why you are bombing. You want to have the bomb going off indirectly from the plants anyways, so in a corner away from plants is ideal. I used mine approx. 36" away from the nearest plant but I understand not everyone has that much room to play with.I am in day 20 of flower and I want to use a pylon tr bomb..I've used them b4 but I am afraid it will burn the hairs. If I put it in a corner away from plants directly will I be okay??
Spinosad works like gang busters on thrips and is far less aggressive of a remedy than Pyrethrum. You can use it like a foliar instead of a bomb.I have noticiable flower growth and not to mention o could baby thrips on my new cuttings..I cant find any on the adults but they are hard to spot sometimes so this would be mostly a precautionary measure
Cant say because there are so many factors involved (how big is your room, how close are the plants, how old are the plants, how healthy are the plants...etc). I've used Pyrethrum bombs before with great success but it was always a last option when other methods didnt work. I would seriously recommend just buying a bottle of Monterey brand insecticide with Spinosad. Spray it on the plants like a foliar 1 time and be done with it. Its virtually harmless to the plants when applied as directed. Will the bombs harm my plants you think?
