Putting plants in the sunlight during the day and back under lights for other hours?

So I live in the mountains and the sun shines straight into my sliding glass door for quite a few hours a day. Would it be beneficial for my girls to take them out of my grow room and put them in the sunlight for x amount of hours a day, and then put them back into the tent for the rest of the light hours and dark hours? I am growing under a 400w hps/mh settup. This goes for veg and flower.

I tried that for a minute on my first grow, but im in florida and the plant hated the hot temps outside. So i never tried it again. Thats the only experience i have on that though.

I do this all summer long. I take them outside in the morning and bring them in at night. Got some nice sun at 6800 ft

That means I'll have even better sun at 9000ft ehh? ;)

This may be a dumb question, but because it is winter and I wouldn't want to put her outside would the sun be just as effective though my sliding glass window?
Also, I am planning on doing this in the summer as well, but would it be better to leave it in your tent if it was a cloudy/rainy day? And what would the difference in direct sunlight and 400hps be? Would it effect the plant negatively switching light sources like that?

Yes rainy days they stay inside, cloudy days they still go out. They will love the extra sun they get. Like Lysergicpt says, you will have to keep ontop of your pest maintenence

I did this for a month or so and I'm pretty sure it's what caused my spider mite outbreak. So in my experience it's really not worth it.

in mid -late summer i bring the light to the plants so i dont have to move the plants so much....15min on every 2 hrs 10-5am unless you are in a AG area you probly got spruce mites and need a good IPM...IMHO
