i would go with hps imo. buds would fill in more. if it was me i would trim sum fan leaves and tuck sum down with paperclips. mine r outside in the ground i cant bring em in. there have bout 2 weeks left. had to cover them those 2 nights and it gonna freeze nxt week. thats why i hate the mountains. those 3 150s should but it would do better with more especially for side lightingshes in her 4th weeks of flowering, shes in a pot in the greenhouse, i bought a green housae heater but frankly there a pile of shite, very little heat coming off her, i got my hands on 3 150w cfl bulbs, so gunna bring her in an put her under them, do you think thats enough light, there 2700k?? also if i bring them in should i remove the large fan leaves, there 12inches long, an its them that are 90% purple
No the complete spectrum white CFL 150 watters are probably what will be best!i would go with hps imo. buds would fill in more. if it was me i would trim sum fan leaves and tuck sum down with paperclips. mine r outside in the ground i cant bring em in. there have bout 2 weeks left. had to cover them those 2 nights and it gonna freeze nxt week. thats why i hate the mountains. those 3 150s should but it would do better with more especially for side lighting
cheers mate, i bought her as a lowryder thinkin she would be ready in enough time for the winter to cum in, but shes 40 inches tall now an 13 weeks old lol, she aint no lowryder loli would go with hps imo. buds would fill in more. if it was me i would trim sum fan leaves and tuck sum down with paperclips. mine r outside in the ground i cant bring em in. there have bout 2 weeks left. had to cover them those 2 nights and it gonna freeze nxt week. thats why i hate the mountains. those 3 150s should but it would do better with more especially for side lighting
A few wouldnt hurt her. and tuck sum down so more light can reach the bud sights. And Hps would do better then cfls but that my opinion and you have yoursNo the complete spectrum white CFL 150 watters are probably what will be best!
I wouldn't cut any leaves that is for sure unless they are dead and fall right off when pulled!
I don't have opinions, I have the plants best interest at heart!A few wouldnt hurt her. and tuck sum down so more light can reach the bud sights. And Hps would do better then cfls but that my opinion and you have yours
Well it dont matter about the heat with light on. He said his heater wasnt very good. so that means its too cold at night. he need a better heat souce or the plants will suffer. as for light everyone has there own opinion of what the want to use.For one it is in a green house! Second, 150 watt CFL's put off enough heat to warm the plant and it will still receive light from the sun because it is in a greenhouse. CFL is what is needed by the plant.

Thanks JeffdogNo red photons (light from the red area of the light spectrum) if what is needed by a flowering plant as well as a good amount of lumens (7k-10k is prefered) which an HPS light provides the best. You can get by with a CFL and do decent but you will not get anywhere near the turnout you would with an HPS.
The reason most marijuana plants turn purple is at night during cold temps (around 68°) as well as having a lack or potasium. The light cant keep the plant warm if the lights off, which is when the plant has a chance of turning purple. Even when the CFL's are on if the ambiant temp of the room is too low the CFL's will NOT provide enough heat for the plant. Misleading info is not good to give out tri...
Wow you guys skipped to talking photons? fromm a HPS vs CFL?Thanks Jeffdog
Atleast someone agrees with me.
Photon isn't even a used scientific term. I think your thinking of startrek enterprise there buddy!Wow you guys skipped to talking photons? fromm a HPS vs CFL?

In the same way fat provides the most efficient calories for humans, red light provides the most efficient food for plants. However, a plant illuminated only with red or orange light will fail to develop sufficient bulk. Leafy growth (vegetative growth) and bulk also require blue light. Many other complex processes are triggered by light required from different regions of the spectrum. The correct portion of the spectrum varies from species to species. However, the quantity of light needed for plant growth and health can be measured, assuming that all portions of the spectrum are adequately covered. Light for plants cannot, however, be measured with the same standards used to measure light for humans. Some basic definitions and distinctions follow that are useful in determining appropriate ways to measure the quantity of light for hydroponic plant growth.
Yeah he said cold wont hurt his plant, lol. If that that case we could grow year round in alaska on top the mountain in the snow lmfaoOh noes looks like we got another child in the forums
Yes I am full of it thats why I went out of my way to type up a whole page "http://physics.about.com/od/lightoptics/f/photon.htm" took me a whole 3 min. to make that page cause I made it all up you are so correct. Once again maybe you try doing some research, might learn a thing or 2 lol
