purple dont make it any better.. i have yet to see any purple strain that ive tryed thats better then any other real good dank.. sure looks cool. i was out at my buddies place in colorado and he picked some black hash-plant up from the depenciery. never seen any bud that dark

edit- also smoked some legit grape ape from there and a couple other kinds.. ive had better

as i mentioned above "I PREFER" the taste and smell and the efects it produced.. i never mentioned anything about potency being greater than anything else. As everyone's preference may not be the same as others, my preference lies with the purple.

by the way BUUUURRNNNNNNN NBKA

yes a drop in temp to below 50 will cause a phosphorous lock out but a cool night of 68 is preferably for any grow room

So I did some research and I found why they can be purple. It's the same reason your leaves turn yellow. The green pigment is being removed from the leaves because your plant is getting ready for winter (it thinks it's fall). So if your plant has purple it will be purple.

Chilling the air at night does help a reaction in the plant become purple but from what I understand not much.
Temperatures of 50F/10C and below inhibits a plants absorption of phosphorous resulting in a dull purple/blue color.

I have to agree with BT, it's primarily environmental.

Identical Clones in 2 different enviroments where the biggest difference is Night time temps.
