Purple stems

This might be a real noob question but i'm 2 weeks into my grow and my seedling has a redish purple stem near the top if the plant and on the leaf stems, does this indicate a difficiency or does it mean the plant is a purple strain. the seeds were from a mate's bag so i'm not sure of the original strain:leaf:

from waht i've seen lots of different strains get purple stems. They may not get purple buds but purple stems probably isnt a bad thing. I could be wrong tho

Thanks for the quick reply. yeah i'm not to worried i thought it might be normal, i was hoping it meant i had a purple strain

purple stems can be genetic but more times than not its not genetic. usually purple stems means that there is nutrient lockout occuring.. its not neccisarily too much nutes or not enough nutes but not the proper balance.. id suggest flushing the medium. if it is soil just flush flush flush and let em chill for a few days if it is hydro flush and replace with half strenght nute solution.

also i have never heard of too much water causing purple stems
