Purple stems

Really confused here. Growing fastbuds Gorilla cookies auto. Both seeds were from the same little plastic container they arrived in. I've been feeding them the exact same thing. Ocean Forest soil, Fox farm nutes , and both are growing really healthy. One has purple stems leading up to the leaves, the other doesn't. I've read that this is magnesium deficiency, but if I'm feeding them the exact same things in the exact same quantity, how could this be? Could it be the one with purple stems just for some reason grabbed that genetic trait even though they're the same strain? Photos attached20220812_102528.jpg20220812_102946.jpg

In my experience it's not an issue when it's the leaf stems. It's very common, especially indoors under high power lights.
Red/purple on the main stalk and branches could be an issue.
Also, plants from seed are not identical and will have variations. The red leaf stems plant could just be a little more light sensitive.
As long as the leaves are healthy you're okay.

Bottom line - autos are unpredictable. Regardless if from same batch , variations will happen. Feed requirements , structure, etc. can be different.

Thanks for your response. You seem pretty knowledge on the subject so maybe you can help me with one more question. I'm only growing two plants. One is a little over 2 ft tall, the others approaching 2 ft tall. I've never overwatered them. For the first month and a half I've only had the water them about once a week. They've just now exited the pre flower stage and are starting to bloom. In each 3 gallon pot there is very good drainage at the bottom. I've watered them slightly over a half gallon each. Within 3 days the pots were really light. I know a lot of the water drained out, but I purposely use that much because I know that that would happen. I wanted to leave the soil evenly wet internally. 3 days later they were extremely light like the way it would take after one week. In this very beginning of blooming stage do they really suck up that much water?

That's normal. Cannabis will be very thirsty during the flowering stage, as more nutrients are required to build a large amount of flowers.
