2 out of 3 of my girls have about 20% purple steams on them. its mostly new steams but sum of the old also, just kinda random. there fully purple though, i was wonderin if this could prehaps just be the strain in them or is it stress you think.

its been in the high 80's mid 90's where i am , thats with 20/30% humitdy :/. they get 4/5 hours direct sun and shaded sun the rest of the day. fed every 2 days , 2 335ml coke cans of water and neturts every other. so far they are all 5.5 ft to 6.5ft.

one more ? what would cause disformed pistols? what neturt am i missing.

(btw) fert im usein is MG 24:8:16 at 1/4th str. there in soil, as in outside.

How are the pistils deformed? Sometimes too much Nitrogen can cause deformed growth. 24:8:16 every 2 days may be a bit too nitrogen rich. Able to get pics? Yeah, purple stems are usually stress related, not usual for purple strains to show that color without flowers.

no, i have to wait for a day or 2 untill i can get good pics. i cant go out there at certian times or days for that matter. ya, idk whats up with the purple steam plant. it has always been one of the biggest, then i removed the plant next 2 it (male) and it grew about 2 inchs then it stoped. and btw its every 4 days lol, i water inbetween. i water every 2 then fert every other watering.

purple stems can be cold weather, and stress in the same. idk what excatly mine is gettin, its not growin any taller. yet the other 2 females are growin like no 2marrow. they are all 3 gettin the same thing as far as water/neturts. i did recently remove all males though, could that be a prob? could that have caused stress on my other plants.

hmm. How's your PH? If there were a difference between purpling in genetics, or from stress, I'd say this is it: fibrous or hard purple stocks are DEFINITELY from stress. They are extremely rigid and almost "woody". Any genetic purpling shouldn't be anything like that. Stems should stay softish and green where they are sprouting new growth, and THEN become more fibrous and stable..and maybe purple.

from what i can c, only the tops of the stems are purple. they feel normal to the touch, a lil more hairy than the others. but this plant has stoped growing, its still puttin out pistols but not growin taller. idk about my ph, i dont have a meter or a test for it. iv just been well... winging it XD its first crop, as long as one plant lives then i did good in my eyes.

sum of these pics are of my healthy plants, and sum are of purple steams and deformed pistols. the purple steams are on all 3 plants now, only 1 of them shows sings of growth issues though. the others are growin like ... well weeds XD.
