i forgot to ask you if you have step by step pictures of the LST. doesn't look to hard but i see some people using paper clips. can you show me how you did yours so far? can you take pictures?
I can get ya some tonight at your request. It just gives me more excuses to use my D3000 :)

too bad you cant clone autoflowers: (
you can but there the same "age" as the mother...so its kinda pointless.

duplex. do you think if i had a 4ft x 2ft t5 fixture with a mother on one side ... and 4 purple jems on the other side under 18/6. that the jems could just flower right next to the mother and grow their whole cycle under the veg lighting? It would just be for a wee extra bud while my other cycle is still going on , and i really wanna grow the jems. your inspiring. lol.

If the lights are on a steady 18/6 you should be fine. i would just suggest getting the male jems out if you do not want seed. That amount of light will keep a mother happy as well as the jems. Seems that floruos are the best way to keep a mother plant in my experience. the only thing that i can see you running into is a hight thing. Once your gems reach there hight you will have to figure a way to keep the canopy even that way the mother dosent shadow the jems, if ya follow me.

glad that i can inspire someone still, i love to pass along experiences

apparently it is difficult to scrog with autos because they start flowering at such an early age. How tall do they get? lol. i heard purple jems are really small.

Well guys just a quick little update, no pics at this time.....not till 2 week mark and trans plant. But i will share this. Checked on them today and PJ-1 is starting to show signs of branching already and is well on its way to its third set of leaves. PJ-2 is not far behind, some young branching signs can be seen on this one to, center of the plant is showing the tips of the third set, so all is well

Temps are still 76.2 and rh at a steady 55%

stay tuned for pics

one more thing there 10 days old

Well guys its day 11 of my two jems and they are doing great. I decided to go ahead and transplant them to there final resting place. Due to the plants rapid growth i wanted to get it to its new place before the root ball got to big to avoid stunting the plant.

Also you can see my LST plant here and it is coming together nicely. more than half way around the planter.

Enjoy

Edit pics will come later RIU is being gay at the moment

still zero nutes at this time. Going to start on 1/4 at about 2 weeks and some change. Want to make sure that this transplant didnt impact them to much. I didnt notice any weird changes on them after the transplant, so fingers are crossed. Once i see a good bit of new growth ill start adding nutes. I want to focous on the root system rather than new growth after a transplant. Once i feel the roots are ready they'll get their first dose of FF grow big.
