purple buds using food coloring

i no that genetics is the best way to have a purple plant but does food coloring really work and if so how much do you have to use and when do u have to start using it so that the buds have some tints of purple i dont want to under do it. thanks

no it doesnt and it tastes like shit.. fdd did a thread on it.. search for it.. the roots filter out any coloring from the dye. I read about ppl having some results soaking cut branches in a cup of coloring and have it go into it that way but I dont know if that even works any better.. I seriously doubt it.Best way to get colored buds is get some purp/blueberry etc and let the temps drop late in flower.
 
why the hell would you taint your buds with food coloring? who cares if buds are purple. fuck purple buds - when will it end???

adding food coloring to your buds to make them appear purple will only result in unsmokeable buds. would you rather have unsmokeable buds that look purple or smokeable buds that look normal? it's a simple utilitarian question...
 
yup fdd's nugs sucked up that food dye, turned crazy blue. I definitely will try it. Just for kicks, and a badass picture.

i still don't understand why so many people desire purple nugs. how fuckin stupid - people fall for fads all the time. in a year, no one will desire purple nugs and they'll seek pink ones, or orange ones. fuckin A man...stupidity reigns!

Even though its un-smokeable to you or me, it worked!. If you want to use food coloring to turn buds colors, it works. :dunce: good thing you edited that, dawg open your eyes. No pun intended! god damn, people these days think everyones out to get em.

If you ever smoked a purple bud, its not just the color. Its the taste, and the smell. My niggas only smoke purple. As for me its kush. Og to be specific.

yea.. food coloring will make your shit "the bomb".. fo shizzle...itll taste like cotton candy and all "ur niggas" will give you "mad props"
 
Its sad for me when i see these how do i make my buds more purple threads,its sad because it shows how heavily influenced young smokers are by this purple craze or what name the weed has,you guys are missing out on so much goodness focusing on the purple is better deal.

Instead of putting effort twords getting purple weed put that effort into making the strain you have come out at its best possible harvest window.
