Have you taken clones off femmed seeds? Also how many strains have you encountered that Hermies, feminized seeds of course.
I've never run in to a feminized seed that hermied, or was any more difficult to clone than its "reg" counterpart...and I've grown dozens of them.

Like althor and TheFarmer12 mentioned above, it's all about the genetics used to make the cross, and selection by the breeder.

The only true hermie I have encountered came from regular seeds fwiw.

Edit: I have grown a couple feminized lines (C-99 and Sugar Punch) that would start showing pistils in veg under 20 hours of light. Not sure if that was due to the reversing process, or just the genetics themselves.

I got some sterile bananas late in flowering on my first indoor grow.
It was from Dutch Passion when they first came out with a Feminized line.
I've grown a lot feminized since then and never had a problem.
I've never had any trouble cloning them either.

Oh right i get u but say you wanted to cross yer 2 fav strains is there a way of picking which types the male and which is the female or does this not matter at all.
I can't really answer your question that's probably advanced stuff. I'm just a newb.

I'm guessing you'd have to really know your strains and have bred with them before and know what kind of influence they would have on the other strain and whatnot. In the end there's really no way to tell until you grow out the seeds.

I've run both for years and the difference I see with feminized is that if fan leaves aren't properly stripped in the first few weeks some sacks will pop.

The few fems I've ran never hermied and where good. I just would rather buy seeds from a breeder who can do great work and select males cause that's what will truly bring out the unique shit just like with people breeding dogs in the 1800's.

So I buy regs and am breeding a little going to try do something nice. For just some weed or money fems are good but for the continuing work on the gene pool regular breeders are the ones working it into the future. Fem breeders are in it for the money just look at DNA and Greenhouse. Lol

They got a place and produce good results but they don't actually breed any fool can find 2 nice females especially when most use pre selected clone only lines but still want $10-20 per seed. No thanks I will bring my money elsewhere.

Fem breeders are in it for the money

.
Every bean peddler who sells beans is in it for the money, amigo, and there's nothing at all wrong with that. Bad eggs in every industry, but the good cats need to make a living even if their heart is in the right place.

True but some actually care about the customer and their work Ace, Mandela, Mr. Nice, Sensi Seeds, Sannies, Tom Hill, DJ Short, the list goes on they actually breed for something and it ain't just finding two good females and making money. Sure they all do it to make a living but they actually deserve the money IMO I would only grow DNA and Greenhouse if I was given a freebie.

But that's just my take on it someone else can buy DNA and Greenhouse all they want I won't get any sand in my vagina about it. Lol

I just respect breeders who keep old school genetics, create something different or make it better I don't have a problem with newer breeders either like BOG he seems pretty legit IMO so I just grabbed 4 packs direct only time will tell but he looks pretty legit from what I seen at ICmag. Also Karma seems pretty good from the freebies I tried so I will be doing some business with him in the future.

Thanks guys. Otherwise I would have continued to toss around false info about feminized seeds. I like the idea as long as breeders/scientists? Make it worth while.
