prunning

I want to cut my plants back since the fan leaves are taking over my grow space completely. I have 6 plants inna bubbleponics setup. I was wondering how much of a plant I can cut before it has serious stress issues. My plant is bushy as fuck and I started flowering about 3 days ago.I would like to cut about 40 - 50% of stems and leaves off so the 7 or 8 main stems can focus on making big buds.

Basically right now, every node has a small bud site growing out of it. It seems at this point that the plant will have many small buds rather than big ones. It seems like it will have to produce lots of energy and take a long time to completely bud the whole plant. The plant is about 3 feet and I also wanted to know if you can cut off the top of the plant? not too much, but maybe a node or two down.

Also, in general, how many fan leaves and or node branches can one prune before the plant stresses too much. I know the plant will have to recover from any amount of prunning,

however I really dont want to cut off 50% of this plant and then it dies!

you can cut a few nodes off the top..but as far as prunning fan leaves. not a good idea. let nature take its course.. it will turn out fine.. you wont speed up the process by cutting fan leaves and stems it will actually stunt growth.
