Pruning

I tried to show pic,i emailed it to myself from the downstairs computer,it hasnt arrived yet.anyways the big leaf stem that grow strait out and then the little green stems grow right out of them at the stalk can cut off the big leafed stem becuase they dont bud the ones that grow strait up do thanks

based on what every one told me when I asked about pruning - cuz well meaning friends told me to cut the ones that "don't do anything" - DO NOT prune the leaves, they all serve a purpose and unless they are deseased or obstructive then leave them alone till harvest.
