Pruning Yellow Leaves

I'm just starting veg and wondering if it's OK to prune yellowing or otherwise dying leaves underneath the canopy. I've read that pruning too early can cause shock to the plant. But what about trimming off the dying cotyledons or their very first single-finger fan leaves?

If you tug the leaf and it comes right off then pull them off.

Hello!

I you leaves some dead leaves on the plant, that can sometimes cause fungal diseases. This is why it's better to take them off.

However, even when the leaves are a little yellow, they can still be a nutrient reserve for the plant.
Just like @mmjmon said, if the leaves come off when you pull them slightly, take them off

Context here folks - Adrenalytic said he/she was early in veg.

Those first cotyledons and single finger fans can come off when they yellow and wither. Those little tidbits are now useless to the plant. By the time those show as shriveling up, the plants energy has been directed to the developing fans and nodes along the main stalk. You are not going to shock the plant pruning those. Even if you did, it's early in veg and the plant will recover quickly.

However, I am curious about is - what else is showing as yellowed under the canopy if you are still early in veg?

Hey StareCase, thanks for your reply. Those are the only yellowing leaves I have right now. I was mostly asking as I anticipate other smaller leaves underneath the canopy will eventually begin to wither from lack of light.
