I think many who use aerogardens go in with low expectations so they are satisfied. The same may be true with the 90w leds, but I think as a rule they are a more advanced group of growers. I'm going to get one and will report back. I plan to use some 42w cfls as sidelight.

Well I'm going to try the exact opposite, only 90w over 3 plants 2 weeks into flower that will probably get to 3 - 4 ft. I'm not expecting great things but I do hope for it to outperform the 200w of T5s I have over those plants now. If it can't do that I will probably return it. If it does better then that's gravy for $200.

I agree with the original poster......results are sub-standard. I will continue to use LED in my veg but not again for flowering until they drastically improve the technology!

i created it for ppl to show pics which ive seen none from you, so unless u got a pic to post there is no reason to post y u think leds are better because Ive already argued that case up and down and im not about to start it again..

Ya they were/are amazing for veg but in my opinion for flowering they just don't do the trick......on a side note if it was a closet grow with one or two plants i think a 300 watt LED panel would be awesome. but for more than that I think they are overpriced and impractical.

ill agree with everything u just said there, but in order for it to be good for a closet grow i think ud want to make sure everything is covered in mylar, and maybe add a few red spectrum cfls just in case.

I don't understand this mylar stuff, everyone goes mad for reflective material, but when you consider the distance from the lamp to the side and then back to the plant, the light has already lost most of its lumens by that point.

i dont use it.. i dunno im just fine with my flat white walls. Supposedly it adds an extra 5% reflectivity but who knows, not worth the money in my eyes.. I do want to get some blackout cloth though if I can find a good bargain..

ok if it adds 5% reflectivity, but how much light is it actually reflecting from an led if the led is 3 foot away from the wall, thats at least 6ft to get to the plant, its got to have diminished beyond being worthwhile by that point.
I know every little helps just seems like a cost with barely any benefit.
Not knocking your advice, I just don't get the whole mylar thing.

i understand, but mylar is suppose to be used closer than 3 feet away from the plants and leds can basically sit right on top of ur plant... My personal advice is not to use LEDs in the first place.. I would use Cfls way before I ever touched a led, but thats just me..

lmao, one person said his friend owned a led company and led are not near HIDS and another said he used leds and was disappointed but hey its ur money do whatever u want..
