So i started with ten seeds germinated in moist paper towels between plates , all ten popped and i put six in 1.5 gal. pots and four in the ground. I think birds plucked out three that were in the ground cause the one that survived looked just like an earthworm as it was breaking the surface. I transplanted the plants in the containers to the ground about the middle of april. When i transplanted them i put them along the back of the yard so that they get real good sun all day and the street lights wont shine on them at night . Out of the 7 that the birds didnt destroy 3 have sexed female and the males i got rid of. I cut the tops every few days cause i want them to grow as short and bushy as possible.
PICTURES TOMORROW.

Neem oil works pretty good. I use it as a preventative and spray about once a week. If you're in an area with budworms, I'd also suggest spraying with BT.

Nice looking plants.

Azamax or Azatrol. both are way better than neem oil. both are OMRI listed as well so its certified organic! And Bt Worm killer works great for caterpillars and other worms, if you can find some Spinosad this stuff works wonders. ive sprayed in the morning and found dead caterpillars before the afternoon! those are my suggestions!

The middle and far left girls were started in pots outside. Unfortunately the lady in the middle had a horrific incident where an unseen pile of rocks met a lawn mower and , well , I sadly had to cut away some severely damaged plant growth . Then as if I needed any more heart break , I foolishly bent a HUGE stem WAY TOO FAST , and damn near a quarter of the plant on the far right was in my hand.
The plant on the far left has much smaller leaves than the other two , all three are female thank God , and I've stopped cutting tops , now I'm just bending the stems and watching the lower branches start to grow , i think I like bending more , mabye I'm a fool but it seems like its better for the plant , but I don't know so any and all input is appreciated. I still havn't had any bug issues thank God cause I cant afford anything for them.lol.
In reference to right and left , in case it isn't obvious , use the picture with all three plants in it.lol
