There was so much more to this then getting high.
Jobs, revenue, tourism, research etc. Proving to the world
that a weed can pull a $4it hole like CA out of a
financial tail spin.

"Ya get off your lazy butt and lie about being sick?"

just mad, I'll get over it. I'm relising how selfish people have become to there own needs.
people think prop 19 was going to be the catalyst that was going to set off a chain of events and lead the charge to a new pot tommorow. get a life and put down the weed for a minute the smoke is clouding your judgement. its already providing jobs( countless dispenseries, grow shops, growing gear companies etc, etc, etc), revenue( whats better for economic stimulus than a bunch of cash loaded stoners and growers let loose on the world to purchase multitutes of shit they dont need) ,Tourism ( its already happening. look to oaksterdamn year round and the california northwest during the summer and fall seasons for the multitutes of festivals that bring people from all over to enjoy northern californias finest), and research? its been going on for years, how do you think we got to where we are now? the denial or passing of prop 19 was going to have no impact on the research. its been going on for years all through the states and europe and will continue to do so from here on. and as far as taxation is concerned a measure was passed in oakland tonight to triple the tax on mmj, other counties are free to do the same.

Let's keep MJ medicated... We don't want our kids getting there hands on it at such young ages. Believe me.. Am all for Marijuana.. I suffer from seizures and been smoking since 16 years of age... but we all had our childhoods right? why start making our kids fat and lazy with no ambitions at such young ages? lol.. I remember all the pothead at school never really had no ambition for education kus they were always stoned. And if prop 19 passed the percentage of high school student not graduating will increase dramatically.

The prohibition of alcohol was beat down one state at a time.
The effects of legalizing alcohol is in the history books, look it up.

I was hopping for history to repeat it’s self.

I’m sure everyone has there own agenda, too bad.

adding that we don't need the states to raise our kids.
It's a parents job to keep there kids from the bad things in life.

that is all it takes, and cali has always been the more liberal of the states. that is why they lead it. cali is the only state that would actually let something like this go to ballot. sorry i love cannabis and it makes me mad, that there was an opportunity to make it legal, in just one state, to show the world that we know this prohibition isnt right, yet all you care about is making money.

i feel the same way as you, i think we really missed out on a good opportunity. Now its going to be many years before we get it on ballot again, nice job cali !!!!!!!!!!

exactly. everyone is oh, next time. its not going to be next election. you already proved to them that you dont want it legalized and are happy with the prohibition, because you want to MAKE money. that is the main reason it didnt pass. every single person who voted know, does not truly love this platn, or you would have wanted to set it free and end this awful prohibition we live in now, where we cant even grow this plant unless you have a "condition" you dont need a condition to smoke drink alcohol, and its way worse than many things. i thought prop 19 would show that there is still some hope in this world, but i have lost all faith in people now. everyone is just out to make a quick buck and dont care of the repercussion of there actions.

i read that. read my last post. im mad because this prohibition against cannabis needs to end. and you would have opened the door to it. ya the bill isnt perfect. but you can always vote and change those things. look at HB1284 in CO. it change amendment 20, for the worse, but that proves you CAN change it, once it becomes law.

Yup. Im guilty. Part of the fun of growing is the risk of getting caught. I make my money, but i also do alot of good with the money i make. Im not rich, but i sure as hell not poor. The only reason most of you are bitching is because you arnt making money like the rest of us. If those of you who voted yes were pulling down 6 to 10 grand a month, Im pretty sure you would have voted no. And to the D bag who said Those who voted no just didn't want to work...well...IT IS WORK!

no, im making money. plenty of it. but i would rather see it legalized than make the money i do. and you could still make the money you would. you just have to be creative.

at the clubs?

mids rite?

im saying ive found it cheaper to go with a collective service on a place like CL or some internet directory. they are competing with clubs so they price their meds far better than they do. i never even went to a club (no joke and i been smoking 8 years)...hearing 55-60 an 8th was a turn off...it hasnt been 50 per 8th since i started...hung around 40-45 forever...but 35 is the deal now...i just try to conserve my med funds lol.

I hope everyone who voted no on prop 19 realizes that your new attorney general is steve cooley. He is a very well known drug warrior and believes every marijuana dispensary and card holder are frauds. By voting no you just empowered a man who could very easily pass laws that some people have worked 40 years to create. I understand where you come from trying to protect your investments ,but to give this man a 55% reason to bust all marijuana patients something he has SAID! he will do I strongly urge those who grow sell or obtain a marijuana card to remain extremely below the radar if this man puts his beliefs into law.

Also I'm very aware that poss. of 1 ounce of marijuana is a civil infraction ,but poss. of 1 plant is a huge offense all he would need to do is pass a law that puts a list for the illness's for marijuana which would be things such as "cancer ,a.i.d.s , MS , or other very serious disease's that most of us with medical cards do not have. Making all of the other illness that we commonly use a fraud charge. I hope and pray he doesn't push for this ,but if you look into any of his speeches or any of his idea's its a very strong possibility

i agree with the guy that said that by not passy prop 19 we proof ppl dont want mj in cali and will give politics the trust of the ppl to close dispensaries and attack medical ppl
im mad cause even do 19 dint provide alot it did provide the right for places to smoke and eat mj and more liberty on growing and buying price coud have been cheaper if legal at the same time we would have more laws made by the gov. at the same time it could be good it could be bad but what whe had to loose if we said yes

amen bro

but then again what would the gov new laws on mj might had been, worst? better? have a time were u can have it easier to get tickets?(because driving high to store, have it with ya and kids on car, etc, etc stuff we always do but in a responsable manner that is) big sale taxes? thats stuff that needs to be detirmenb by the gov before we can choose to give someone the power over this great plant and our freedom, massive productions by companies and probably puttin quemicals in weed like they do on cigarrets, also the culture of marijuana could get lost by wanna be cool kids that will only smoke to fit in not knowing the meaning of smoking is more than been the cool guy, inexperience kids doin mj having bad trips mixing with other stuff creating a bad name for smokers you have to look at all this and see if california ppl specially young ppl are mature enough to take it seriously

if i said something wrong let me hear ya this is were we can shape a new better improved prop 19 FOR US THE PPL

I work day and night and mayby have a morning off if the watering days over lap each other. not to mention staying up all night trimming and then waking up to water the other house. all the attention to detail making sure your plants dont get bugs or a deficiency. so yeah its a real job

Everyone is arguing back and forth about this state wide vote but it doesnt mean shit even if it would pass as long as the feds dont want weed to be legal it wont be. State law doesnt mean dick if it contradicts fed law.
