Proof that LST is just as good as topping ( PICS )

I have found that with LST you can give your plants desired growth by giving selected branches direct light and allowed to grow rather then cutting the main stem and causing stress and lack of growth till it heals, here is a clone i have LST'd, it is about a month since its been planted in dirt. The clone is Jack 47, its in mixed dirt and gets fed foxfarm. and note that the plant has stopped focus on the main stem (tip of the black hook used for LST in the PIC) and has evenly distributed it throughout the plant, this is also the first clone i have had that has done this.

LST is nice, does not stress the plant near as much, I agree.
With that said, show me a LST'd plant that looks like this.
Topping, along with a few other factors is the only way this can be done.

Nah.. IMO a PROPER LST REQUIRES a Topping in the end.. YOU LST to your desired shape, TOP.. then all the side branches and 2 newer ones become HUGE. =/ IMO

Ehh lst is a great method, my prefered method actually but there really isnt proof that lst is better than topping or vice versa. That being said I have seen way better looking plants than the ones u posted that were topped. Good looking plants though man.

LST is definitely less stressful on the plant--after all, low and stress are in the name. The idea of topping and/or fimming is great in and of itself, in that it the plant will adjust itself, but there is a definitive stress that's put on the plant. Any time you prune, you're going to have a hormone imbalance and a correction of that, like the plant sending auxin down to the roots. Both are cool techniques and I usually have to use a combination of both to get the my desired effect.
