Progrow 550 l.e.d

I've been using the progrow 550 from hydroponic hut, and I couldn't be happier with my results. I will post current pictures soon. Does anyone here use the progrow series l.e.ds?

I've got 2 260s. They work fine, just a little loud in the fan department. I don't see the 550 on their website anymore.
I'd love to get a 260x.

I am running a 180 and I also use a few cfl's (they give me something to play with). I love my pro grow 180

I have a 180 like it!

I have a PG180 in a 2x2 tent next to a homemade fixture of 154w of PLL tubes. The idea is to start them under both red and white of the PG180 and then over to the PLLs during the last 1-2 weeks, because they are 2700k-3000k. However, due to plant height, sometimes plants spend almost all of their time under one or the other.

TBH, I see little difference in my grows either way. Sure, they get bleed-over from the lamp not directly above them, but the plants that spend their entire flowering phase under the PLLs do not seem to do any worse or better than the PG180. I have not scientifically proven this, just basing this on grows and final harvest. If my PG180 conks out on me, i would have no issues going all PLL.

Maybe someday I'll get off my lazy ass and do some real comparisons...but I doubt it.

I wanted to update my thread here... over the past year I've had a pretty consistent problem with my plants developing male flowers on lower branches and any slightly shaded areas. It took about a year for me to realize it was the led that was to blame. Its ability to penetrate foliage is a joke. The light seems to only penetrate maybe 4 inches into the canopy!

Male flowers and below average yields are what I paid 890$ for! At least the little buds I harvest are of good quality?

Hydroponics hut removed the 550 from their inventory about 1-2 months after I received my unit, which made me quite suspicious. I came to the conclusion they knew this product DOES NOT perform as advertised.

So in short I contacted customer service and they informed me that their return policy is 30days! How can you properly evaluate a light in 30 days! What a joke.

Do not buy from Hydroponics Hut!

What light are you using now?

I upgraded to 2 A51 RW-75 in place of my PG180

so far seems better

When I use LED lights I use LST. I'm no expert but I got 3 1/2 oz. off 1 plant with a PG 180. My new grow hopefully will be 5-6 oz.

I've got the 260x, tight patern! i mean put 6 inches on its o.d. and thats the throw. intense but tight
