Professors range terpenes causing blockage

So I've been using the full professors range for a while now but have just recently added their terpenes to the mix along with 2 air stones in the resi. Before i added the stones i was getting a really bad smell in the res that would get worse over the week (i replace water weekly) the stones helped with that and i havent had a smell since but I've noticed a lot more gunk built up in there since adding them, then today (5 days after adding stones) i noticed that the filter from the resi was blocked, I unblocked it, hooked it back up and within 5mins it was blocked again, this happened a few times before I gave up.
I'm using 4 auto pots hooked up to a 30l resi, I'm about to start week 5 of flowering and this is the first problem I've had even though I've been using terpenes for 3 weeks. Could really use some advice, especially from people who use this particular product. Should I just cut it out? Get rid of the stones? Get a new filter? (The stock one I have can't be opened and cleaned or anything, very cheap). What other options do I have? Thanks in advance, I'll be hand watering until i can sort this out

professors nutrients is apparently a line of Cannabis fertilizer from australia

no msds for the "terpene gold" and no shots of the label (might not be anything on the label anyway, dunno about .au laws) so no idea whats in it

other options: switch to something without organic material to rot and clog, such as chem-gro, dyna-gro, jack's hydro, master-blend, maxi, or one of the many two parts like GH Flora which I think won't gunk you up.
