so should i put it into the veg room there are 1.5 inchs and starting to get there second node and im using dwc. so if i am suppose to move them how high does my res water be touching the net pot and rockwool or keep it of a little for the roots will grow more. and if i dont move them yet will the heat mat hurt the roots that are showing out the bottom cause they seem a little darker.sorry for all the qeustion thanks

Professor, I'm about to start a SoG grow and hoping to harvest a pound every 4 weeks. I will grow a few females from seed, and keeping a few as mothers while using clones to flower. I'm not sure what the specs of my cloning/veg chamber will be.I was thinking of using an 8'x4' area to flower in (not including walkways). I would split the grow area into 2 4'x4' squares, with one square (16-24 plants) being harvested every 4 weeks. The plants would be on a flood table in ~3 gal pots, and will be spaced 1 to 1.25 plant/sqft. 2 600w HPS lights with Adjust-a-Wing reflectors will be used to light the area. I've attached a rough drawing of what im thinking.
My Questions:
1. Is a pound every 4 weeks an unreasonable expectation with this setup?
-If so, what would need to be changed (+ sqft, +lights, etc) to meet this goal?
2. What size would be good for a veg/clone chamber for this setup?
3. Would 6" fans and ducting be sufficient for ventilation (as far as diameter goes)
4. Do you think that I should use 2 1000 watters instead of the 600's to flower?

Yer if you troll the threads under this you do get a previous history from you two up to a point where it seems you modded him. Forget about it anyway.
I agree but i think he has been surfing some other sites for comparisons and definitive knowledge trying to nail down what he learnt and grew here, some times fixating on one site messes with the head. Thanks for pointing out his achievements but last time i spoke he reckoned he could push 18ounzes if he could just nail down more variables, finally he cracked the Biobizz ferts though. I think the professor was right about his determination but thinks the professor should get with the rest of us and chill with the confidential grow ops and pics etc. Pics prove nothing but they are pretty to look at and many a noob will be inspired to grow better by them.

Glad to have someone on RIU that has TRULY sacrificed everything just for this gorgeous plant and for the principal of what is right. I hope to gain even more know,edge from you that I already have. When you have time I have a few questions about my grow room and some other ones my partner and I are planning on building at the beginning of the year. We are currently get everything situated legally so we can be 100% compliant with our state laws. We are planning on starting a collective with the goal of offering FREE medicine to those with terrible ailments and for those who can't afford it. We are looking at a couple of spots now but our main flower room with be about 20x20. We were planning in using anywhere from 8-14 1000w lights. Would like your input? As far as my room goes it is 7'x5 ' ...I have 2000w in great white hoods. Currently running roots organic soil with bio canna nutrients. No c02 at the moment but please criticize away. Once again thank for you constant fight in the MMJ community.

Soo off topic - I know, but since it ended up being a major component of the thread- what the hell... My way of thinking is different than yours. You seem to feel that you have to ignore your feelings of agression and fight to repress them when these idiots talk crap, my advice is to really not let it bother you in the first place. There is nothing a soul on here can say that would make my blood boil. I know full well the playing field is skewed by the fact no one has to own up to a face to face confrontation, and I already expect the morons to be here. Mostly, I just grin at their stupidity and smallness, and feel happy for myself that I am not them, and have a much more mature outlook on life. To be honest, this place is a reflection of the world, and it feels to me like the world is filled with many more undesirables as the norm, with a slight speckling of truly worthwhile people. My personal experience is the opposite of yours. I spent half a lifetime making peace, walking away, accommodating etc. The result was that I was treated like dirt. Like you I changed. I don't take shit from anyone. I don't go looking for fights, and I try to settle things peacefuly, but if it's going to be a fight, I am up for it. There is no part of me that wants to turn the other cheek.
I don't agree that all war is wrong. I think violence is an integral part human nature and is constructive as well as destructive. At the very least one should defend oneself. The history of nations shows that the rabbits get eaten.
So much for that. If you want to toss it back and forth we can start another thread or PM or not. It's all good.
As for this thread, I don't think it's fair to lay the blame at the Prof's door. He didn't initiate hostilities. He made a serious effort to ignore provocations but they wouldn't go away. Sure, there may have been better ways to handle it, but I don't think it's reasonable to demand it of the Prof. His behavior is the norm in our society (in most societies). It is considered quite acceptable to stand up for yourself when attacked in one way or another, in fact it's expected of you and that's what the Prof did.
IMO there is a more serious problem underlying this: This thread is an abject failure on the part of RIU.
This is a forum where people learn to grow marijuana. It was given the chance to have an expert grower field user's question and they tried to run him out of the room!!! This is like spitting in the face of someone who hands you a $100 bill.
The attack dogs who set on him are one thing, assholes are a fact of life but why didn't RIU protect him??
RIU's policy states explicitly that personal attacks and harrassment are not allowed. Why didn't they enforce it?
In general there is too much of this shit on RIU. Far more than on other forums that I frequent. About half the threads are poisoned with these bitch fights or sometimes simply lynchings and over what? A guy says he's done this or that in his grow and all of a sudden he's being torn apart by dogs. Societies need a police force otherwise people behave badly.
Posting in RIU is like walking down meanstreets. I'm always watching my back and never really relaxed. I fully expect to be on the recieving end of one these vitriolic attacks sooner or later.
I've several times wondered WTF I stay here. I have met some really fine people and learned a great deal, true, but I really don't enjoy having to wade through blood, guts and screaming just to find out how to improve my yield some.
I would love to see the diagram. I have a new setup and need some input. Stupid smartphone can't open picture. Any suggestions?
