If you want to flower 20 plants you should go with 150w HPS. Its not as powerful as the higher wattage lights but you can flower more plants under a 150w HPS light then a single 300w HPS light. Also do Sea of Green. Easier to do a 20 plant flowering then bigger plants. Some people flower 6 to 9 plants under a single light

Use that math to figure out what you want to use

actually i think a single 70w HPS would be more than ideal for 20 plants in 10 gallon buckets. Just make sure you get a 8" cooltube and 800CFM fan to cool that puppy. You'll be growing lbs in no time.

Good luck! :peace:

why does everyone gotta fuck with him it's not even a dumb question compared to half the shit on here. Get a 1000 watt light and a carbon filter and plug that shit in.

It is a dumb question. The question's been asked a thousand times and there is a plethora of information just waiting at his fingertips; he's just too lazy to spend a few hours and find answers for himself.

A better question would've been:

"Hey guys, I need a little help. I'm planning on growing 20 plants and can't decide which setup would work best: 1 1000W HPS or 2 600W HPS; can anyone offer some insight? Thanks."

^^^At least that would have taken some brain power.

I'm not trying to be a prick. it's just that when I started and asked questions , it's like people were speaking a language I couldn't comprehend. I started to look things up and look at the you-tube videos and things started to fall in place. After much research, I decided what I wanted to use and then procede to learn how to build it. It was some work but I was able to build most of what I could and didn't waste any money buying things that I didn't need. Like a lot of other people out there , I also lost my job and have to " McGuyver" things on the cheap. I pulled 12 1/2 ounces from 5 plants on my first grow. Put in the work , it will pay off.

Thank you all for responding to this thread. now my next question is what kind of wattage would be ideal for an op of two rooms one being 24hrs and the other being 12/12.im looking to stay under the radar but at the same time trying to get as much out of 20 plants as possible.

:finger:P.S. Dadio161 thank you for your opinion and for being a professional PRICK.:finger:

Flood and drain 18 plants on 2 - 4x4 tables @ 1000w each. Veg the plants in 4x4x3" rockwool cubes under cfl until there's a decent root mass. Put them all in 1 - 4x4 table under 1000w MH on 6x6x6" rw cubes until they hit 18". Trim the bottom 1/3 of the plant. Trim all nodes off the bottom 1/2 of each branch the second 1/3 up the plant. 36 hours of darkness and then lights on with 9 plants on each table.

Watch the magic.

^^ lol

1 - If your gonna have a veg and flowering room you can use T5 florescent tube lights or CFLs but you can use the HPS in the flowering.
2 - Flood and drain, Aero or DWC is the best bet to get a faster finish and possibly a higher yield but I don't know if its true that you can get a higher yield in hydro then in soil

how would i go about hiding the heat and the smell that is blowing outside?
Why the hell don't you try reading stickies or downloading PDF guides you moron. All you are looking for here is spoon feeding. I think with 2 rooms and that many plants that you are already in way over your head.

Get off your lazy ass and go look up some information for yourself. It's one thing to have "A" question, but you are an absolute lazy fuck.

You can buy or make your own carbon filter you can find a how to video on youtube to make your own and about the heat you need to be using cool tube for the lights to take the heat away and you could also make a section with an ac to cool the air.

Go on youtube and check out alot of how to grow type of videos that can teach you things and read the stickies and there's a FAQ sticky that can help you
