Procyon 100 Led grow

That's exactly what I do, I use a 600led droplight system for veg, and it works great, it's a bit of a pain having to adjust the angle of the leds every so often as the plants grow, but it gives me an excuse to spend time with my girls!
I'd never use leds as my primary light source for flowering though, they just can't penetrate half as well as a good HPS. Thinking about getting some for side lighting though, when I'm feeling a bit more flush. Reckon it'll make much difference?

i have no experience with led's, but i think if you get the right spectrum as a supliment to hps, it would help. I have used the 10. uvb 20 watt cfl bulb( the one that is supposed to make trichomes pack on)as a suppliment to a 600 watt hps and noticed no difference.

Well my led is a veg, clone light only now. It did great for veggin. here is a pic in cloner, and the day i took the led out and put in my t5. The 2 on the left were put into flower at the same time as the led. since the led was so far behind i switched it out for the t5.

Yes, I think the problem is the procyon only comes in one combo of 3 red to 1 blue, which in my opinion is neither good for veg or flower, rather pointless to have a vegbud light.

You wouldnt bud with a couple of HPS's and a random MH thrown in...wouldn't make sense, not efficient, you would throw in another HPS.

Procyon needs to make a mostly red light (for bud) and a mostly (if not all) blue light for veg.

We know what works...
We veg with MH (mostly blue light)
We bud with HPS (mostly red light)

If that procyon with those cree XR-C @700ma (1.8watts each) were all blue, it would blow your T5's out of the water for vegging watt for watt.

Same for an all red light with some blue and white leds. The red is slowing your veg down.

Also, look for the 3 led watt emitters (rare) as they throw light further and penetrate cellular matter far better than the shitty ufo 1 watters.

That not true about adding mh to hps. your yield may go up with the mixed spectrum. 1 400mh to 2 40 hps is a great mix and not pointless at all. Also this is no insult to you in any way but i am positive that the combination of colour that procyon chose were researched more thoroughly than anyone on here could do. ! question though. why do most led grows i see have the light so far from the plants. i use t5ho and have them half inch away. led must be cooler than t5ho? It seem that a 100 watt led fixture 2 feet above the plant is throwing at least 90+% onto anything but the plant. Why not put it right on top so no lighting hits anything but the plants? like 1 inch or less. Just wondering. This light is sick.

seems to me that the problem is if you move the led fixture closer, or as close as we all do with t5's, then it only covers like half a square foot.

but can't you lower it even half the amount? even that would multiply the light output by many times. allthat light that hits the walls is power lost. Could you use reflective material to lower the light and then surround the garden with it? like mylar all the wayy around and lower that led right on top? Just asking because i want you to get the most out of the light. i know its a great light.
