Problems with Sour D

Hello everyone! This is my first time posting here. I am desperate for help figuring out whats going on with my sour diesel! The tops of my nugs will not fill out.. this has happened to me a few times now. They are in 5 gallon pots, roots organics soil. I use House and Garden, follow the chart to the T. I PH my water to 6.5. They have plenty of air flow in the room, the temperature is always between 55-75 degrees. I feel like I'm doing everything I'm supposed to, but my tops will just not fill out. The bottom nuggets are filling out more than my tops are. These are sour diesel clones I cut off my own moms, they are very healthy, no bug problems except a bit of gnats in the room. I'm starting to wonder if my plants are degenerating? The first time this happened to me I thought maybe it was because my plants got too tall and they were too close to the light, but I know this is not the case this time. They are pretty tall plants, it seems like no matter how short they are when I flip them to flowering, they just stretch out so much… thats sour diesel I guess. As you can see in the picture though, there is plenty room between the plant and the light. If you have any idea what could be going on, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Need better pics of the actual nug. And it would be helpful if not understand the hps. Maybe take a pic with flash right when the lights turn off. But you could try a carbo load or flower hardening supplement like Mendocino avalanche.

Have you changed your nutrient regimen? Looks like maybe and this is just a semi educated guess but too much N?
11 weeks and any sour d I have run is done right about 10-11 weeks and huge buds.

try running a cut with a simple k.i.s.s. regimen jacks/gh/ whatever floats your boat and at the least you can eliminate that from the equation.

Here are more pictures. My lights are 1000 watt HPS. I actually have been using mendocino avalanche a long with shooting powder, the H&G hardener both at half ratio.

I have always used House and Garden.. Its got pretty low nitrogen levels, and I don't use the Nitrogen Boost because I know how fast these sours grow. I really wish I knew why the sours aren't producing, I can't seem to figure it out and I'm getting ready to give up on it.. I did two lights of chubba in the same room, and yielded a pound a light, the tops filled out. Not a huge yield, but better than what these sours are doing. This is what makes me think its something going on with the strain.. I've never heard of this k.i.s.s regimen, but I'm gonna do some research and try it out, thank you for the advice!

keep it simple is what I was referring to. Look up the Lucas formula or jacks formula both have mounds of information about different measurments and tweaks.
