I have germinated my White widow seeds and have tried growing from seed before but have failed. I now have a PH tester and it is 7.6 is this bad for White Widow or should i tone the PH down a bit? If so what should i use? Is there any homemade liquids that brings down the PH?

Have you tried searching on here for homemade ph down? If not your local grow shop, hydro or other, will have some sort of ph down. Your Ph is too high, i don't grow in soil, but look on here at other posts and you will find the right Ph.

yeah man, there are posts all over the place that talk about PH problems. I also don't grow in soil, but I've read a little about it. As I recall, it seems like people kept their PH's closer to 6.0. I am sure of this: Even growing is soil, a PH of 7.6 is way too high... Check around the site, you'll find your answers. That's the best advice I can give. Other than: Get that PH under control asap. When your ph is out of whack, your plants can not get the nutrients they need...never a good thing.

yeah...a ph above 7 will start to lockout nutrients. You can lower the ph of soil over time with lime (i think), gypsum, and some other things too...do some searches, I have seen a lot of topics about lowering the PH of soil.

pH 6.5 - 6.8 (in soil) is ideal for MJ, tomatoes .. and roses .. and a lot o' other stuff too ... it's about the soil and all the chemical processes in the soil .. blending your soil to the right pH is the place to start .. then maintaiing that pH .... yeah use pH down ..(phosphoric acid based is best )

Boric acid in eyedrops is a homemade pH down so is vinegar

measure the pH in ur runoff after watering to get an idea of soil pH .. don't overwater when u test the pH

btw ... be careful of cheap pH testers ..I've seen em give bad readings .. I actually have lost plants cuz' of a bad tester ....pH test paper is best ..always reliable
