Problem growing. No smell?

I have been growing for the better part of a year now and I have yet to have a plant smell like weed while growing or after it's been cured. The only thing I can think of is that it's my dirt. I do everything by the book. Ph, nute, co2, you name it.

WTF is my problem?:leaf:

Sounds like good strains. Are you not curing them right? do you leave a lot of leaf on them? are you letting them grow to full maturity?

My plants generally smell the same when cured as the day they were cut, maybe a little better, but the in between time when they are drying they dont tend to smell very chronic.

I do just cut the buds off the stems and then let them dry. Should I really hang them? Does it make that much of a dif?

I hang the nugs 3-4 days then put them in jars. I then open the jars for 10 minutes a day until I reach the desired cure. the bud tastes best around 2 months out I think but is smokable after only a few weeks. hell i've used my vaporizer on shit that has only been down a few days and it got me ripped!

Are you pulling them ripe? Maybe a better pheno with smell is what you need. I got some super lemon haze flowering that you cant even smell but as soon as you touch a nug it's like a skunk drank lemonade then pissed all over the room, but in a good way.

Lol yeah they are pretty damn harsh.
Yep that is the chloraphyl making them like that. the cure process is just as important as everything else. as you can tell it doesn't matter if it is a dank strain if it doesn't get a proper cure. No matter though, live and learn, it'll stilll get you stoned.

Yeah I am way to impatient to wait that long to smoke my buds. Hanging the plant did make it smoother, but still not smelling like pot. I have bought some organic dirt and I am going to give that a shot. To me it's the only thing that makes sense. Because I do everything by the book. From giving them CO2, to giving them Advanced nutes, 600w hps. Water 3 times a week. I just can't figure it out.

Make sure you allow your buds to fully ripen, every strain has a different flowering time remember that.. The best way to check is when 75% of hairs turn brown or red. When you harvest hang the buds, or plant upside down and when outside of buds are crisp put in jar to cure for mininum of 3 weeks. If you dont have a smell then chlorophyll breakdown process failed, just take time and experiment.

Yeah I'm going to keep on it. I really hope it's just the dirt. Cuz seriously I can't figure it out to save my life.

Most of my grows had little if any smell.....maybe a faint skunkiness right by the plants. Same with the bud, it tasted good and was smooth but an open bag of it didn't stink up the room. I'm cool with that long as it does the trick. Too much smell makes it obvious what you're doing
