problem after flushing

So i flushed my Moby Dick strain last night. She had been showing small signs of nute burn so i thought it would be a good idea.

halfway through the flush, the main cola started drooping to one side. Shes 5 weeks into flowering.
i thought the cola would pop back up under the light, but there was no change. also, there are more and more yellow spots along the plant, and some of the upper leaves have yellow along their sides.
i tied the main cola up for some support. But the yellowing has me worried. could it be from the shock of all the water from the flush?
i used tap water to flush (first time growing), ive read on here that some say its bad/some say its alright. i didnt test the pH after flushing and now theyre sleeping. i'll check that tonight though. does anyone know what could be wrong?

alright thanks for the advice, i appreciate it.

I'll go to the store tonight and pick up some distilled water, and run 9 gallons through it. ( 3 gal bucket )

is there anything i should do to have it dry quicker? the soil is still wet from the flushing 2 days ago.

wait till its dry and run 6 gallons just double it and you can get a good flush, you probably overwatered it already, you can get some perlite for better drainage too

1, You lost the root system, there's no positive water turgor in the plant cells anymore. The soil is still wet because the dynamics of wicking (via the leaves/roots) has been lost. Plant is toast.

2. You followed misguided popular thought regarding "flushing", pH'd water, badddddddd tap water, etc.

Regarding proper plant nutrition practices, how else would you expect the plant to react when you deprive it what it requires? And to add insult to injury, you probably used a bloom food exclusively which cause the yellowing leaves. By not taking care of the roots and the leaves, you just screwed up your yields.

Get off this forum, get on a regular gardening forum, and buy a book on indoor plant culture so you can learn some common sense basics.

there is no way to salvage the situation?

first off, why do you have an attitude? do you think youre being helpful? to me you just sound like an ass.
so how about i, as a first time grower, learn from my mistakes, and you go away :)
As much of an ass as he sounds, he's right. Flushing soil grows are only necessary after overdoing it with supplements. Outside of hydro, it's a corrective action. I don't use overpriced "bloom boosters" etc. b/c half of them contain molasses etc...that I can buy much cheaper at the feed store. Personally, with at least 3 weeks remaining to finish...I'd risk it and transplant anyways. But, that's just me. Flushing robs your plant of vital nutrients at a most critical time.

thanks for the response btw. and yeah, maybe i shouldnt have lost my cool. i saw the words "plant is toast" and it upset me a little .

so the soil i flushed has basically been drained and is useless?

I don't know about your soil being useless, but I speculate your root system is. The only way to confirm whether I'm right or wrong regarding your root system (and your plant) as being "toast" is to pop the plant out of the pot to inspect the root system. If you have a firm rootball with abundant white roots, you can place it back in without any harm to the plant and go about your biz.

Since you flushed you have starved the plant of all nutrition, especially the macro that supports leaves - N. N, the most important macro to cannabis IMO, is the first to be leached upon flushing. IOW, you followed forum popular thought/practices (flushing) and done fucked up your plants. Live and learn, the hard way.

Look up the concept of plant cell turgor pressure.

The spots on the leaves is the first symptom, the first step, of impending leaf necrosis as is the yellowing.

....and, if I was a betting man, you've been hitting them with some lame bloom food. Right or wrong?

Regarding "learning", I already recommended what I think you should do. Lurking around this place and asking the blind to show you the way aint gonna cut it. For a noob, it's hard to beat Mel Frank's "MJ Insider Growers Guide". It is your shortcut to success.
