First grow ever, I'm outdoors in Central VA and we went through a grey and rainy couple of days a few weeks ago, and now I'm seeing some spots on my buds that I think are rot and want to get some opinions. I harvested a bunch before that weather hit even though it was early because the weather made me nervous, so I'm not completely sunk, but wondering if it's worth trying to cut out the rotted bits and spray the rest down with peroxide solution, and probably just make edibles with it, or if it's all just garbage at this point.
I checked a couple of pieces with a microscope and the brown bits have what looks like tiny, fine hairs all over the trichomes whereas the healthy looking bits look, well, healthy so I'm sure it's mold/rot of some kind. Couple pics, the first is a bud I pulled over the weekend and have had it drying for a couple days, the rest are still on the plant. I'll also add that everywhere I've found rot so far, it seems really contained and like it hasn't spread to other nearby parts of the buds. TIA!
