i got to say one thing your set up is above most others, and by far the best i ever seen to be honest very well figured out and very sad it went to shit so fast that's the problem with these style of grows you can't really figure out where or how it happened
my guess is probably the the water temps. possibly ?????
I feel for you buddy i understand your set up but for valuable knowledge on these types of set up's i no very little.
we are practically next door neibiours if i can lure you to soil grows i can pretty much guarntee you really smokin yields

Hello all.

Sadly, after some remembering and calls ect, ect, it seems as though we figured out what happened.
At the end of Bloom, week 2, we removed the plants out of the tubes, one tube at a time, to clean out the leftovers of seaplex. A nutrient we use during Veg.
The plants must have picked up a contagion while out of their safe little holes.
We fucked up. I fucked up. Ugh
So, that and the cutting the tent for cooling purposes, broke our Everything Clean Rule, allowing who knows what to get in.
I'm already thinking of a better grow-cube design, oncorporating an independant Veg room. Full greenhouse climate controller.
Looking at the pic of the baby widows breaks my heart. All full of life and vigorous to get going. And in the end, I was trying to clean that seaplex gunk out. Trying to help them, killed them.

Thats all for now :(

Hey bud. As right now we are going to take a few days and pick up the pieces but we will be back to do it over again. We may have stumbled but we won't go out like that.

Shit WW - i wasn't expecting to read those last few posts - totally gutting man & a real shame to hear u had to cancel it.

I'm not rubbing it in or anything but from what i've heard that can be the trouble with DWC & similiar hydro methods; if it goes wrong, it goes wrong fricking quickly & ur very unlikely to catch it quick enough to save it. Dr Greener's offer sounds good tho & i must admit i would certainly recommend soil growing for ur 1st few grows as it is so much easier & alot more forgiving & alot less time consuming as a beginner. (tho i do appreciate that once a grower gets proper experienced that hydro is the way to go if u wanna start pulling in monster crops)

Still, like u say, at least u got some good experience under ur belt already now & i'm sure u've learned plenty too - u just gotta move on & stay positive that the next attempt will kick ass!

Best of luck & take it easy dude!

You have done the right thing investing in this set up and once you get it right it will pay for itself 1000x over :weed: including power. Heres the prob-
1- Ph is out must be 5.8 not 6.1
2- if your going to veg that tall at least top it once for more branches closer to the light, you cant have untopped plants that tall under lights if your serious.
3- they look sativa ,get a strain more indica for inside.
4- i think its hotter that 25 , make sure its 23-25 to avoid long internodes.
5- Get some H2O2, high grade , use at 100:1 for 50% grade.
What he said and you get rep for the setup. Go with Indica for sure, Sativa is a bitch to grow and for me it sucks anyway.

just read this....

Potassium (K):
a.k.a. potash, this nutrient is key for the usage of carbs/sugars. This is key for sturdy/thick stems, small bushy plants and disease resistance. Its needed for all stages of plant growth, especially bud formation.

Abundance: this is pretty rare to notice, excess potassium usually isnt absorbed by the plants but can mess with levels of magnesium, manganese zinc and iron. This in turn leads to salt damage acid fluctuations and possibly a calcium deficiency

Deficiency: this has yellowing of leaves, from outside in, but with a dark green center vein, and curling of leaf tips, this is mistakenly diagnosed as nitrogen def or iron def a LOT. Stems and branches will be weak, easily broken. the plant may also stretch. *too much sodium (NA) can cause a potassium deficiency.

hmmmm Bud Candy loaded with mag... possable link to this issue??

hey man, im glad your checking my thread on nutrients!

but i dont think too much mag is the issue. other then the stuff *buds* mentioned, id kick nitrogen up a bit on all plants. for the plants in pic 4, after getting pH to 5.8, i would add in more micro nutes... then id go eat like 10 bananas and give them the potassium they need.

Once your pH is back to 5.8, unless you have salts locking out nutes,a nute lock out isnt probably the answer. More likely, especially with big plants, long into their life cycle, is a variety of deficiencies.

Dont get me wrong, the 1 thing that explains it all is probably the right answer, MOST OF THE TIME. later in grows, thats when funky shit happens, soil gets ´spent´, nutrients you bought lose their umph to just sitting there in the bottles, whatever. besides that, you got these big plants that your still feeding with food off the kids menu (same goes for the lights too, theres no other way to explain the stretching).

Get your pH to 5.8, any way ya can. its key in hydro:

Check the organics thread i got and make some of the banana tea. i use 4 bananas, make 2 liters of finished product. for plants your size, id give each plant about .5 to 1 L of the mix. then just up the rest of the nutes a bit. those plants are big, and big plants have big appetites.

One thing your not doing is overfeeding.

and next time, top them, at least once. youll get way more yield, especially with the space your withing with.

TLDR:
sure, dumping more of the one bottle didnt help, but right now, add micro nutes, and add potassium to all plants, and get ph to 5.8

=)

Hey man, thanks. And with this hydro, i knew there was the monster crop waiting. I wanted it now. hehe
Weve already decided on white widow again. Gotta finish this.

cia bro

Hey bud, looks like my roots never sis grow right out. Have you ever seen this before? Did you see the vid before I took it down? The roots just came out of the basket, hit the water and stopped. They were always like that. I was aware satyiva more outdoor. But i saw a few bots growing white widow, so.... besides, its ol school for me. One of my favorites from when i was a super-stoner. lol. Your H202 would have worked, if I used it just after I cleaned at the end of week 2. Live and learn, and we did much learning. Especially from fellas like you. Thanks for trying.
