Hey guys I'm trying pro mix this year for the first time! any advice? I normally grow in happy frog and got sick of dealing with bugs so I'm switching up the soil. I'm assuming the ph should be between 5.8 and 6.2 ? I have well water and my water is like 8.0 so i bring down the ph with vinger is there something better to use to bring down the ph? also thinking about using maxi bloom ferts.

Never used promix. I do use sulfuric acid. Some folks use phosphoric or nitric acids. You can buy a bottle called pH Down made specifically for the purpose. I've never used Maxibloom, but I've read some folks on this board love it. You might try search. Good luck.

My well water has a ppm of 500 and the ph is mid 7's.

With ProMix HP and Mega Crop one part and/or MaxiGrow/Bloom I don't ph down...

When I did I used store bought ph down acid....

ProMix HP is buffered and Mega Crop is chelated, that is usually enough but it wouldn't hurt to ph down to be safe. Depending on what is in your well water.

I start feeding right away with .7g/gallon and slowly move up as the plant shows slight yellowing or lighter green.

As the grow progresses I'm pretty close to the recommended amounts on Green Leafs feed schedule on their web site.

Cheers
