Pro-Grow 180 Grow, Pineapple Express, Humboldt and BUKU

While searching for a new light I found it tough to find a good grow with a Pro-Grow 180 but heard a lot of good things about it. I am very impressed with it and wanted to post pics of my grow for others to use in their decision making process. I actually plan on ordering another one in a week or two to really pump up the buds during flowering. Not that one isn't enough, but isn't two usually better? lol

The Set Up:
Lights: Pro-Grow 180
Soil: Miracle Grow with 3 months of food,, i know its not the best but I could get it where I work, but I picked out as many fertilizer balls as I could so I could use my own nutes.
Nutes: Fox Farm Micro Grow and Bloom Trio
Tent: 36"x20"x56"
Temp: 75F-80F
Humidity: 45%-50%
pH: 6.5-6.8
Technique: The Humboldt and the Pineapple are LST'ed and the BUKU is standard due to slower growth.
Age: 2 months from seed on monday. I vegged 19/5 but gave them a dose of bloom nutes and started turning the time back a hour a night and will hit 12/12 on monday.

The first Picture is of all 3.
2nd and 3rd are of the Humboldt
4th is the Pineapple Express
5th is the Buku

I was gardening earlier and started thinking about how much bigger these are going to get during flowering and an idea crossed my mind and wanted other opinions. I was thinking about putting the Buku outside to finish up and maybe setting up a scrog. But is it too late already? Any advice guys?

I can't answer your question, but I am subscribing to this thread because I've been thinking of getting one of these lights for my first grow... either the 180 or the 260.
Nice looking plants too.

Thank you. This light is fantastic. I did hours upon hours of research and with only about $300 to spend this was definately the best bang for the buck. The switchable spectrums is also a nice feature.

For an update, unfortunately, I decided to put the Buku outside to finsh up as the humboldt and the PE are taking over my tent excellent growth. I also decided against the scrog. I will have pictures for you tomorrow.

Here are some pictures from yesterday and today without the buku. There are a couple shots of the the full red spectrum to show you but for picture sakes they are mostly full spectrum. They are The pineapple is the one under full spectrum and the fuller of the two. The humboldt is under the all red. The height and the fan leaf are the humboldt. They both have been very healthy and grown excellent!100_0509.jpg100_0520.jpg100_0521.jpg100_0515.jpg100_0522.jpg100_0524.jpg100_0518.jpg

I should mention that they were started and grown under cfls for the first month while I waited for the light, tents and nutes to come in. So it has only been a month with the light and things but what a month its been!

Update: Its now the 5th day of flowering and the pineapple is putting pistils out everywhere. They both are females which is good since I paid for female seeds. I'll post some pics later this week when they really start lookin sexy!

Here are some updated pictures of the garden from over the past couple days. The picture with the tape measure is again of the humboldt. That plant has really blown up still averaging 2" a day! Since that picture was taken it has grown another 4" and is at 34"! It's actually getting me kind of concerned since I only have about 6-8 more inches to move the light. If it does get to tall should I tie it down or what do you suggest? The pineapple is 26" and isn't really growing in height but it does seem to be budding faster. The picture of both is humboldt on the left PE on the right. The last 3 pictures are some of the tops on the pineapple.

I have the 550W going over 18 autos as we speak, they are in the home straight now. I feel that I will give them another run in soil and airpot next run as the rockwool is just not that great in my opinion.

Here's a link....https://www.rollitup.org/indoor-growing/434813-550w-led-vs-20x-green.html

I'll happily follow your to the end..
I'll definitely check out your grow man!! How do you like your Pro-Grow? This is my first grow with it and love it so far.

I'm glad to have you guys on board and I'm hoping not to disappoint:wink:

How are yours flowering? I'm about to go into flowering with my 180 PG, first LED grow. Just switched from HPS cause it was waaaaay too hot in my basement closet. Quite impressed with hydro hut thus far.

Disaster has struck!! My light fell, crushing the main stem of the Humboldt. It still has a few branches that were salvagable. I had to cut the stem only a few nodes from the bottom since it was unrepairable. Luckily there is still a healthy nice looking branch still alive, I'm just hoping the stress doesnt cause it to hermie. And some how, luckily, the pineapple was spared only breaking one tiny branch that would have been a popcorn bud anyways. I will post some pictures when I find the time.

Ouch...bad luck! In future try just taping the stem at the break, I have found it repairs itself rather quickly even when it is almost all broken off. No harm in trying.

I love this light! Its flowering nicely, today is day 14 and covered in pistils. I'll post some pictures when I post the ones of the carnage of the tornado that went through there.

Thanks for the advice and the quick reply! The stem was broke in 3-4 different places it fell almost directly on top of it. Hopefully theres never a next time, but if so I will give the tape a shot. It's a shitty deal. Do you think it will hermie on me? I am hoping to get some sort of yeild off of it so I can try it and check it off the list. I'm trying to grow all the ones I really wanna try first and narrow it down to the ones I liked most and wanna keep growin.

In my opinion it should have no reason to hermie as you could equate it to LST of sorts even well into flower, I have bent over plants in full flower many times before without a single hermie yet. Others may disagree based on their own experiences. I once forgot to take the tape off only to find plenty tiny roots shooting out the stem before.

Thanks for the input man because the major branch thats left is still up to the light so now i'll tie it down without worrying about any ill effects. Not that that plant cant get any worse at this point lol.
