Preventing Stretch

I have my higher wattage bulb that I mainly use for flowering, but lately I have been mucking around with the thought of throwing an led panel in there and keeping it lower pretty much on the canopy for new plants in the room. My ventilation is nowhere good enough to put my little ones up close to the bigger bulbs. That way, I can start new plants in the flowering room and keep the led light lower, helping prevent quite a bit of stretch, correct?

If something like that would work, I feel like I could get a nice rotation going, allowing the bigger bulb for the bigger plants and the led panel for the newbies, but I'm not sure how effective that would be at attempting to prevent some stretch.

Thoughts?

Temp difference between lights on and lights off contribute to stretch. If you have a way to control the temp, keep the lights off temp closer to the lights on temp.

How hot is it close to the bulb that you're protecting the lil ones from?
