Prepping rye to make jars and forgot and left them soaking

I left these right berries soaking overnight and then another 12 hours so total of 36 hours and I left them outside in the Arizona hate shaded are they no good should I redo with new ones and keep inside in 75 degree room temp?

If they smell sour, you changed the pH and they may not work as well but why trouble yourself over a little grain, start over.
 
Have you tried oats? So much easier than rye berries. Just boil for 30-45 mins then strain, keep the water to make agar agar plates, and then leave the oats straining for 6-12 hours. Then throw in your quart jars and sterilize.
