Preparing for first outdoor grow..Northeast USA

Hey everyone I was hoping to get some advice about starting a guerilla grow this spring 2012 in south New York State. I will have 15-20 seeds to spare and will only be able to visit these plants 3-4 times throughout their lives.(I dont live there). The grow will be done on state land that is pretty remote. Provided I give them a solid starting soil mix dug into holes, could this feasibly produce some buds? Any advice regarding the fact that I will not be able to visit them often would be greatly appreciated.

if you are only visiting a few times then the soil you use is very important

first you should dig your holes at least 3x3 i dug mine 4x3 and i got 10 foot plants

you should look into subcools super soil mix. its gonna look expensive and complicated and scary for a first timer but its not to hard to figure out and i think its only a couple hundred for a batch and your plants can easily produce more than that

also if you cant get roots soil or other ingredients then you can substitute them for other things, foxfarms makes some fantastic soil.

also might wanna add some of the water retention beads since you wont be able to water frequently (soilmoist)

This is great advice. I've never used Subools Super Soil before but I've heard nothing but great things about it. Common sense tells me it would be PERFECT for your needs. An RIU'er I know in real life is whipping up 2 trash cans full as we speak. I'll be testing it out some time in the next couple months :) Whatever happens, good luck brother! OVER GROW THE PLANET! XD

Maybe while you're at it, you can make a few seed bombs to toss around ;)

Thanks a lot for the quick responses. That soil mix looks like a great place to start. I have been growing indoors now with FFoF for a couple years and had great results, but this will be my first attempt at any sort of outdoor grow. The seeds are OG Kush, Vanilla Kush, LA Confidential as of right now but I will be stockpiling as many as I can before spring rolls around.
