Prep b4 I flip the girls to bloom?

So some people are saying flush it and some are saying don’t bother. I’m using FF nutes but not as heavy as it says. I’m set to feed it later when I get there and I’m gonna switch my light schedule tonight. Am I still gonna go with my veg nutes this time or do I flush n put bloom nutes now b4 I flip the light time to 12/12? Is there anything else I may need to do b4 switching them? Light height?

Don't see a point in flushing at the flip that'll just stress her out. It's not switch to 12&12 and BOOM flowers, it's going to take upwards of 2 weeks for her to get fully into flower. Keep the veg nutes running for the first week immediately following light schedule change and on the 2nd week of transition switch to bloom nutes. Might consider some trimming depending on the under canopy situation, but I like to have that done about 5 days before the light change.

well my grow circle everyone except one is doing hydro and none of us are pros. They’ve done like 4-5 grows, this my first. They say don’t. Other people who grow, like at the plant supply store say don’t. YT vids I seen, they say flush it. I do I lot of YT learning. People here saying don’t too. With good reasoning. So I will listen to the people who are giving me feedback. Only the vids are saying to flush it. I’m just trying to gain all the understanding I can. It’s more than knowing what to do, it’s knowing why that’s important to me.

Could you link me to a vid of a guy who says flush it between veg and flower? I would love to see it. Flushing should only be used during a grow if you have built up salts in your medium which would only happen if you gave them too much. Doing it at the end of the grow is up to you, but during is about fixing problems and hopefully you don't have any before you flip.

@2:56
He does some explaining but he says it like it’s part of the flipping to bloom process.

His logic is bad. The idea that you flush to start from a clean slate is stupid. All you do is starve the plants when they are hungry. If you aren’t overdoing it the majority of the salts will be used by the plants before you have to feed them again. If you want to wash out extra salts each time just feed till you get a lot of run-off.

Exactly or dont feed everytime you water if worried about the salt buildup. Their is no need to give nutes everytime that's what the leaves are for storage..

Youtube is the worst place to get good information regarding cannabis. There may be some decent information but the majority is garbage from some dude that can't grow showing crappy plants giving out bad information.

Stay off YT. Possibly the worst place for learning how to grow.

You got advice on whether to flush going into flower. YT was the only one saying to flush. See the common theme?
Yea. Exactly. I use like 3 sources. People who I know, online videos (usually YT) and forums like here or Reddit.
This my first grow that I’ve done seriously and potentially successful. I thought I had a good grasp of how this all works but I’ve learned so much and learned that I didn’t know shit lol. So when I’m stuck I check sources. I bought a book “Jeorge Cervantes horticulture guide for medical marijuana”. But it’s dated. They talk bout leds like it’s new and wary territory. Still a good reference.
YT has some good info on training and seeing setups and watching a grow from start to finish. Shit like nute usage and some other technical issues can be conflicting from person to person.

I have to say YouTube can be invaluable. Like most mediums that offer "info" online you will need a consensus approach. Sites like this will simplify said data and should speed up that learning. There's good and bad on YouTube. Ive looked at probably hundreds of hours. A good vid can take you a long way
