Pre-sexing in vegetative stage

This is my first time growing.

Afghani #1 plant (Sensi seed), Veg stage, 12 weeks.
First 8 weeks, I was on 24/0. Now I am on 18/6.
I don't know the sex of this plant.

Recently, I have started to see small bags at the nodes (see photo). In particular I see a lot of bags at the top of the plant.

So I am wondering - are these bags calyx out of which the female stigmas will come out, OR the pollen bags of male plants?

thank you!

PS:
I am not planning to go into Flowering, as I want to keep this plant as a mother plant, if it is a female one.
I have taken some clones, which, once rooted, I will use to determine the sex (12/12).

Really raggedy looking male. I had a big bushy female show sex in veg, after about 6 weeks. Some strains do, some don't apparently, only seen it myself once though (albeit on two different phenos of the same strain).

thanks for all your replies guys.

I am however a little puzzled about what are the small whiteish hair next to the sacks? Could it be stigmas, and therefore the plant is hermaphrodite, or is it simply the beginning of new leafs??

cheers!

I believe those are called stipules. Nothing to do with being female. Sorry you have a male. Don't give up you'll get females.

ok, cool. thank guys.

@ MrSteroids1: feminised seeds was one option but I actually bought 3 seeds of each type, hoping that at least one of them would turn out female!
