Pre registration for the greatest party cup grow off of 2018

So here's what I'm doing, cup wise. Putting this out now before someone sees it and yells "cheater".

You see the extra pot, that's purely to allow water to flow as I tend to feed from below and let the plant draw up what it needs and no other reason, so the plant pot is to be used unless I find something else to use as a spacer for water/feed purposes. Regular pics showing everything is above board to be posted and will be done on request if necessary.

It was said "as many holes as you want", so there's 7 6mm holes in the bottom for the flow of water and no other reason. Roots that poke their nose out shall be cut off, everything will be contained inside that single cup as much as humanly possible.

There will be a second plant running alongside this, but it's one of my "experiments" and is to be in a red cup so no fiddling around can be done. This one is, effectively, irrelevant for the comp.

Hope all the above is ok with whitebb.

Seems like a external res to me but if he allows it
It would mean everyone would want to make a "bottom" feeder.

Im not against it cause id just make a baby rdwc for it if we are allowed lol

Not trying to be a dick but people will probably not like that one.

Bob already said we could stack 2 cups if the rims touch so mabey you can work your idea into that?

Not increasing the capacity of the cup at all though, everything will still be contained within the 16oz cup, as per wot 'e said a couple of posts up. Hell, I could probably find some plastic washers that would give that mil or so space between the cup and the saucer given the amount of old crap I have lying around from work

That saucer is too big. That's more of an external res.

No problem, I'll find something smaller easily enough, have some saucers for coffee cups that don't get used (see pic). The original idea was never going to be used as a res, that's inviting rot when sitting in that amount of water/feed, but I thought it would be best to clarify these things before starting everything off for obvious reasons.

As long as it doesn't hold water.

I just want to set mine in a propagation tray so all initial 5 will sit on it and I can adjust height by blocking the tray up and down...leaving the light fixed at the top. I ran a couple just to test out the space.

Beans are Ready to Do This :bigjoint:
The big one will be fine for watering purposes. It can't be used to hold water for extended times.

Not the intention, water goes into saucer and gets sucked upwards only. Coffee cup saucer is so shallow I'd have to be careful about how much runs through with watering from above anyway, but I'll drop it to a Pringles lid if you want as something has to be under the cup and I can't go smaller than that.

Use the big one to water and then put it on a little one after watering.

That's too much like work (Hey, I'm an electrician and that means I've got a degree in Lazy Bastardness), I'll just use the Pringles lid and then nobody can say that I only swap that in for taking pics.

Lol. I have a degree in electronics. Worked industrial maint for year. At times it was a lazy job and times it was a pain in the rear.

lol...nah...I don't bottom water and not much drips out when I do water. I've just been around since these Party Cup PreRegistations started. I'll just remove all doubt and be done with it.
No doubt. Kind of why I started this one. One sided comps that put favor to the sponsor.

I'm not like that.
