Pre-Flowers

Hi all, long time reader first time poster on my 3rd grow. The first two went ok but I am yet to grow a seedless crop - :weed:my holy grail.:weed:

Just wanna know when the males preflower, will the sacs open and release pollen or do they just hang there until flowering begins full time?
