Pre-flowering???

So if I "pre-flower" and put a brownpaper bag over the branch... How long do i have to leave it on there for? Do i have to mimic 12/12 flowering cycle?
Please if you could leave a full description of everything it takes to do this kind of preflowering. PLease and thanks you RIU for any information!!!

thats not pre flowering
perflowering happens natrually

what you are talking about is forceing the flowers to show sex

OK so then how do i do that? and is this a good tech. to go with if i dont know if it will be male or not?

theres 2 ways i've hered this method told
1 you place the bag over one of the lower branches and leave it for up two 2 weeks checking it every now and then
2 you leave the bag on for 12 hr and day taking it on and off for about 2weeks by then you'll know

a lot or grower now are leaning towards cloning each plant then puting the clones into flower to tell the sex of the mother plant
they say it way less stress on the plant
and stress is belived to cause the genes to degrade

i personally clone from a flowering plant and make that my mother (this is what "they" advised against) at the first sign of hairs i clone then set that back into reveg

just by flipping the lights to 12/12
sex it and or flower it
if you dont have a timer get one its a must have
you can not grow indoor with out one

Most strains show preflowers at the 7th or 8th internode on the main stalk.They will either be a little ball or a small calyst at the internode.I use a 3x microscope to check for preflowers.Some strains wont show till later but most show preflower at about 30 to 45 days of veg

No need to flower your plants,Look real close!!!!

Yep i sould just clone it i just dont wnt to have to wait. ive waited enough times and shouldnt of bought non fem seeds!

O ok i see... o sorry this information isnt about the plant i have now... I just started some northerlights and there non-fem seeds and dont know why i bought them this way. I always buy fem... usually! So i was looking for a method to check to see if there male or female, instead of doing the whole plant!
