PPM at a loss

So I'm running two systems, an aeroponics in a self made tote setup for my late veg/flower and to start the girls I'm using a plastic Tupperware container which I fill with water, have a bubbler and set the plant which sits in clay pellets held by 5" net pots, basically a cheap DWC. Doubt it matters but this plastic tube is sitting on a heating pad. I'm using two separate tri-meters. In my aeroponics setup currently I'm running about 850ppm, both tri meters register about the same in this solution. This is with nutes added and phed.

on the other hand the DWC which has no nutes in it, same exact water registers 3800-5000ppm. I tested both tri-meters, same effect, recalibrated, spot on to 1000ppm in the calibration solution. Tried using a glass cooking pan, same result, removed bubbler and plats, same test result. Check inside the 5gal water jug, or water low 200ppm.

any idea what could cause this ridiculous reading?

could be the warmer heating up the plastic tub and causing it to release toxins in the system..just a thought.

That was my thought, so I tried the glass container... Then I thought the plastic bubbler, but if it's safe for fish.. Should it cause it?

Wow.. Jesus I figured it out.. I mounted it to a piece of wood, that I mounted my fluorescent t5 to... The t5 must interrupt the signal, moved it a foot away and ppms are exactly where they should be

That happened to my ph meter. And it only does w/ CFL's

I was getting a 3.2 reading after ph and it screwed it all up. Moved away from the light and its a perfect 5.7

i know.. i just bought a new Tr-meter.. lol what a joke. it was fucking the ppm and ph readings..i orginally thought the PH was off.. it was giving me strange readings of pH 450 with no decimal point.

Good to know I wasn't alone, hahaha.
