Hi all, have bin looking at some ways of gettin cool air in/ hot air out of a small closet veg room. I found these computer fans that im quite interested in (mainly because of the price and the fact they produce up to 87.6 CFM)
Ultra Kaze 120 x 38mm Cooling Fan, 2000RPM

The problem is powering them..... im in the uk anyone know a safe and easy way to wire these up to a mains plug? i suck at electronics so any help would be much appreciated!!

Cheers

hi grade.

several ways too power fans. most use a 12v adaptor ( laptop packs, porta tv packs etc etc) but you can use a PC powersupply too. search over in the DIY section for a PC psu conversion and other 12 adaptor conversions.

Most ballasts start at 2 multipliers up to 12. Check out http://www.lightbulbsdirect.com/page/001/CTGY/Ballasts

You plug in one ballast and control all your fans. Remember the PhotoTron in High Times. Well once you changed the ballast in it that was controling the three Ushaped flourescent I doubled the multipliers and added 2 computer fans and 150 watt circular flourescent. Try it it should be every thing your looking for.
