Power Silica / Super Si - Expensive Silicas, Are they worth it?

Im on a budget, but will spend a few more dollars if the product is worth it, currently i use a standard silica General Hydroponics Armor Si, Are the expensive silicas worth it? What is the actual differences? is it worth the extra spent money on them?

I use Dyna-Gro Pro-TeKt, which is a little bit cheaper than the Armor Si, just a bit less K. Would love to do a side by side, but unless CA opens up the plant limits I can't if i want to stay on the legal side of things
 
for yield and quality it made no difference whatsoever.
Not sure about the others, but the stuff I'm using just promotes stronger hardier plants, even has a picture of a plant with steel plates instead of branches. It does seem in late flowering my branches can support more weight....but without the side by side no way to confirm
 
I'm using a pretty weak silica right now but I'll be going back to dyna-gro when the bottle is up...the thing is, I haven't noticed much difference between them. Silica=strong branches and nice burning buds with good ash, and I've gotten that with every silica I've tried.
 
The more expensive companies like power si claims to be more usable by the plant "bio available" they call it. I have never used it, I'm curious about using it only during the first few weeks of flower as I've heard a lot of people claim It helps control stretching and I got a run vegging now that stretch's like crazy during flower. So I might try it, but it's way too expensive to use regularly.
 
I used amino treatment with silica from house and garden for a few cycles. I noticed that the stems had a little membrane around them and seemed to be a bit sturdier, especially in seedlings.

Do you have a recommended brand of Amino Acides to use?:neutral:
