Power SI / Feed Methods

Maybe u got bad batch , i used it for over 2 yr and love it id does foams but goes away fast , you can do both and when u call them they say it doesn't matter but what i notised PSi original if you foliar u will see difference overnight , bloom drench only and i do use it with all nutes (Jack 321 and now Masterblend) just make sure to add it first let it mix for like 5-10 min and DONT use it with anything that has hypochlorous acid.
Ive never put in the res my self, just what i read when i researched the product. And yes i could definitely see a difference overnight using it as a foliar. I use it with athena stack and ipm. The results are amazing

I did a monocrop this run in my 4x8. Half of the tent sprayed with power si and stack. The other half not. I see 0 difference in the one with the foliar spray so far.

Interesting, I'm very skeptical my self. I've been reading tons of forums with very mixed content lol some say they swear by it and notice a huge difference and others like your self say used it and see no difference. I have no doubt MSA plays a roll in plant health but for 80 a bottle, it's a steep experiment for something that may not really have that much effect. If I had some throw away cash I would try grotek beside power si and a neutral plant. Maybe you'll see more of a difference when you flower ?

I’m at day 18 now. You stop after week 3 so it’s about done now. I’m going to weigh both sides at the end and see if it made any difference in yield

From personal experience i can say that silica prevents PM( i did no power si , same strain same room had ton of pm ) BUT power si joined money making club , they lied about 2.0 saying it same but stronger. They switched to potasium silicate so now its just overpriced armor si. Im looking switching to stout msa or impello s.

Everyone assumes Si is able to get past the root of cannabis, most grasses will uptake it but most broadleafs exclude it at the root or only passively uptake it if it is at a high enough concentration. I have never seen any difference from using it or not. Using it as a foliar treatment like some were saying earlier in the thread may have some effectivness on PM because of the pH, like sulfur but raising pH instead. It would be easy to test if its actually taken up hopefully someone will do it. And test many cuttings because some may take it up and some may not. I know Bugbee likes to test one cutting for heat, light etc and then his results are assumed definitive when the only thing its definitive for is that particular cutting.

The idea is to raise si co tent in the leaves so in flower pm doesnt like the leaves cuz u should foilar in the late flower. Exactly what happened to me

Thanks for links Lou. Its not a accumulator but will passively uptake with mass flow, is what I got out of them. At least the hemp varities tested were uptaking it, each hemp variety at different rates. Looks like 300 to 600kg per hectare, which is a lot but since its passive uptake it will take large amount in the solution to get much into the plant. for example rice is a accumulator, at Si concentration of 162mg Si Liter in the nutrient solution rice had 124grams SiO2 per kg. Soy at the same Si concentration had 4grams per Kg. Cannabis would be closer to soys uptake. Probably why I never could tell any difference with or without, I was giving way too low concentration.
