Power Outage in My Aerocloner

Hello RIU, in the process of gearing up for my newest grow journal I built my own DIY aerocloner and bubble cloner (just to compare results). I took one batch of 8 clones and a few days later took a second batch of 6, which was last night. As of about 3am last night, all was going smoothly. When I arrived home today, around 7pm, to check on the clones I found the powerbar had been kicked off somewhere between 3-4am and 7pm today. The clones were drooped, laying across the lid, yet they were not discolored at all and leaves seem to have retained some of their 'rigidness'. I got the power back on, I misted both batches, and placed on a humidity dome to help them recover moisture. My question is, can anyone advise me on whether these clones stand a reasonable chance of survival? Oh and the bubble cloner's water was high enough that the ones in it had their stems either submerged or nearly submerged in water. These were less droopy than the batch in the aerocloner, which were the ones that I only cut last night. Thanks so much in advance for reading!

Depends on how wilted they are. Keep the dome on them and 100% humidity in dome for 24hrs and if they don't bounce back there toast.

Much appreciated Booms! I will go snap a pic real quickly for reference, they've been in dome for about 35mins now so maybe they'll be perked up a tad bit...probably not, but nevertheless...lol.

Is the dome sealed pretty good? I don't have a dome for my ez cloner so don't know how one fits. I'd compared your situation to when I break a branch completely off but still attached by a hair, splint it, wrap the break with tape and stick a baggie over branch with rubber band on bottom to seal it. Few days and it's healed and bag can come off. I think if the clones aren't dried up they got a chance.

And yes, well it has some holes of course, but it can keep the humidity up to 99% if I mist heavily and then place the dome over them.

That reply just gave me a sigh of relief haha. Due to me being SO new to cloning (not growing, but definitely new to cloning) I really had no idea what to expect from this. Luckily, me anticipating newbish mistakes, I took 14 clones when I only need 4 to take root. So, as long as 4 clones survive I'm happy!

The newer green ones look much more promising. You made the cloner right? Is the spray doing a nice mist? I've had aerocloner for about 5 years now, love it.

It sure is, I actually salvaged the sprayer tip off of a much smaller aerocloner, attatched it to a larger water pump, and put it in a 5 gal bucket. It shoots out around 5 jets of water each in a different direction hitting the side of the bucket, so there is that 360 degree misting affect. Now, the bubble cloner I've never tried before and just wanted to see if it had better results than the aero. Also, the newer still-green clones were much sturdier, thicker, more vigorous growing tips so that may well be why they're handling it better than the clones in the bubble cloner. Should I do a water change since the water sat stagnat overnight, or would that just = more stress at this point?

I don't think water change is necessary. Are you using Clear Rez or a homemade mix of pool shock at all?

I am not, however, I am using a beneficial bacteria product (Great White) that I've used for years in my DWC setup and has always kept my roots healthy in the past. Am going to check on the clones again here in a couple hours, I'll let ya know if/how much they've perked back up.

Apologies for not checking back in last night, I passed out haha.
So, we have good news! Of the first batch, the ones that were yellowed and kinda rough looking, all but 1 popped back up. And that one is trying to stand up again, but can't tell if it'll survive or not yet. Of the second batch that were healthily green, EVERY single one was back to normal within 3-4 hours. Thanks so much for your input!

This has happened to me many times over the years. Some batches pop back and you get 100% rooted and other times a few don't make it but I have never had all fail when looking like yours. They usually pull through.
