power company replacing meter, any worries?

So the room was started 3-4 months ago with 4k watts running, obviously raising the bill by about 2.5 times or so what it was previously, and then the power company sent a letter saying that they are going to replace the meter with some new digital meter that gives it's reading straight down to the main station. It just that I looked at the meter and it doesn't look that old... Anybody ever hear of this happening before and should there be any concern? It just seems like an odd coincidence you know....

They just did mine a week or so ago,they'll leave you a note telling you how its gonna save you money...LOL,I wouldnt worry

It will save them money,why else would they do it LOL

With the new meter they drive by with their truck and get your meter reading..they don't have to come any where near your house.

NOW if black copters start crossing your house...4K watts will display a small "blip" in infa-red

best time to start high wattage drain is in summer...power company assumes this is high a/c useage. then drops off slightly in winter and all seems normal...

700 bucks for PG&E what the bill like before grow systems use?

I wouldn't worry the power company (actual gas company but same people where I live) just replaced my gas meter like a week ago and my old one wasn't old looking they are just upgrading there systems everywhere, they replace my electric meter with a new digital one last year.

The bill was like 180. And now there's major heat problems so an AC is needed so the wattage now will be up around 5k or so. The electric bill will probably be 1000 or so next time I think. That's quite the increase. I know everybody says not to worry about the electric bill. Shit my friend who's an electrician talked to the regional manager of PG&E about high electricity bills kinda hinting towards growing weed and he said that as long as you pay the bill, they could give two shits. My friend is just getting a little paranoid and I'd like to chill him out...... So, no worries on the 5 times increase in usage in a small residential neighborhood with a new meter change? Sorry if I'm hitting this one too hard. Can't be too sure though. Thanks for the replies.
